Ok...need opinions... Stripes or No Stripes??

I am going to be painting my car in the spring, onyx black with ice blue pearl. Here is my question.

Should I go and get the factory stripe package of silver/gray?

Or

Only put on the Silver/metallic IROC-Z door decals?

Do anybody have pics of cars with and without stripes?

Thanks

I would leave them off. I like IROCs with just the IROC sticker on the door and the emblems on. But its up to you, its your car.

I like stripes on the 91 92 Z's. I think Iroc's should not have stripes though. I dont think they really go with it. Just my opion.

I agree with the previous two responses as well. I don't really think that stripes would look good on an IROC. The only "stripes" that I might add to my IROC are some thin pinstripes, just to give the edges a bit more definition.

Yeah that was what I was talking about... pin striping...I thought that all the Iroc's came with pin striping around the edges of the ground effects?? I hope y'all never thought I was going to put big racing stripes!! Arrghhh!! hehe..

So let me re-phrase the question

Pin Striping or no pin striping?

The pinstriping on IROCs is a very distinguishing feature, and they're not gaudy. But the cars look clean with just the IROC-Z door decals too...

Im only gonna put the IROC door decals on mine. Im just not too wild about the stripes, and it'll save me some money not putting them on there. Im still deciding on what emblems i want to use, but im thinkin about the stainless ones that thirdgenparts.com sells.

It looks great both ways, you have an awesome car.
I have wanted to paint my 88 all white and after I saw your build thread a while back,it makes me want to keep it white w/gray ground effects.

This question was asked 17 years ago. I'm hoping a decision of stripes or no stripes was made by now.
