SOLD Vortec Ram Port (like a lowered stealthram)
I just picked up this chrome plated Street & Performance Ram Port for Vortec heads. I was hoping it would be adaptable to my regular heads, but no go.
It sells for more than $3,000 new at Street and Performance. It's comparable to a Holley Stealth Ram. The height is 9.25 inches from bottom of manifold to top of throttle body. So it should fit under the Firebird hood.
Asking $800 plus shipping.
Includes the manifold, plenum, injectors, rail, TB, air filter everything you see attached.
I've had it two years, I don't think I'll ever install it.

Vortec Short Ram (like a lowered stealthram)
Tempting. I have the same but non vortec on my supercharged stepside.
It did not fit under my iroc hood without cutting the reinforcement. It will not fit a firebird hood

Re: Vortec Short Ram (like a lowered stealthram)
When I got home I measured it again and it's a bit under 9.25. Probably closer to 9".
So it should be low enough for f-bodies.
The S&P catalog reads that the vortec short-rams are lower profile than the regular multiport units.

Thanks for looking.

Re: Vortec Short Ram (like a lowered stealthram)
I know. If I didn't get this Shortram last month, I'd be all over that First unit. Actually I'm keeping my eyes open for a set of vortec heads. I might as well try out the shortram.

I have absolutely no reason to buy this, but I am trying to talk myself out of buying this from you. I would love to have that think as a shelf ornament! Such a cool period correct piece

Re: Vortec Ram Port (like a lowered stealthram)
any new sources for information on this? Looks like Street & Performance are down to a facebook page.
Seriously looking for a vortec intake for my L31 build but would just like to educate myself on this intake
thanks

I see the link I had is now dead. I don't think I saved the pdf file, but I'll look.

Re: Vortec Ram Port (like a lowered stealthram)
Sorry couldn't find the old catalog page. Street & performance closed a couple years ago. It should just bolt on, connect the fuel, sensors and vacuum lines. A couple holes for brake and pcv lines need to be made.
