V6 91 - Replace Air Filter...?

He Guys,

Well, it's a really silly question, but how do I get the air filter out if it's canister?

I have a V6, 91, took of the snorkel and saw the air filter. My first idea was, twist of the wing nut and we are good to go. But that just takes of the canister.
How do I get the lid of this canister.

Once again a silly question but I hope with a straightforward answer

If you've got the wing nut off the cover should just pull up and off , it may be stuck in place if it hasn't been opened recently and may just need a good pull .

Here is a picture of what the parts look like for my 89 , if your 91 is the same maybe seeing it apart may help ...

ah! Thanks Orange Bird....I was almost there, wasn't I

Thanks for the picture! helps a lot and gives a good idea how the lit is set on the canister
Sometimes, the answer is so straight forward, but better safe the sorry!

Thanks once again
