Oversized Ball Joint Boots

Does anyone have any answers for oversize ball joint boots?

The stock ball joint has a boot seat of 1.600", this one has an OD in that area of 1.874". Energy Suspension sizing is "get the next smaller one than what your ball joint measures." (in other words, it's supposed to stretch a little). The boot for our stock ball joints is the biggest one they make, I called them and confirmed. It will go over but you have to stretch it so much that it won't stay.

This doesn't look too bad till you realize that the boot needs to seat on the surface below its bottom edge, that it almost fits inside rather than over the ball joint.

I think Spohn sells a boot that may work
https://www.spohn.net/shop/Replaceme...oint-Boot.html

I got those poly boots for the steering, they all ripped within a few months of driving.

83 Crossfire TA what did you end up doing for boots for these ball joints? How did the ball joints them selves work out for you?
