We know about the IROC series cars, but apparently there were a lot of thirdgen-bodied oval track cars back in the day. I randomly came across all of these and figured why not start a picture thread for them.

I found this car on craigslist in maryland last year. I really wanted it but just not affordable by the time i priced getting it to California. So im building my own now.

yeah thanks man. I wish i had stumbled on thirdgen sooner. I didnt find you all until id already got all my panels from fivestar. Ramona is only an hour and a half away from me. Id still like to go check out his car and shop though. I cant get enough of race cars.

Guys,
i am sure you realize all these cars are tube framed with skinned bodies. I did this for 20 years. They were beautiful but nothing other than a stock looking body.

Yeah im pretty sure most know they're tube chassis since they are race cars. The last car is more of an actual car compared to the others as it actually started out from a 3rd gen carcass. Quarters roof and floor all original. Everything else is tube and fiberglass.
