l76 6.0 to 4l60e.

Just picked up a l76 6.0 off a 09 g8 and i have a 4l60e off a 4th gen Camaro. What flexplate do I need for this combo? Could I use the same ls1 flexplate my trans came with or would I need a spacer? New to all this. First ls swap just trying to get this right. Any info helps thanks.

Re: l76 6.0 to 4l60e.

The Flex-Plate for a 4th-Gen F-Body is all that is needed.

Make absolute certain to measure the Torque-Converter to Flex-Plate spacing.
1/16" to 3/16" of spacing is required with 1/8" being ideal.
Use drill-bits in those 3 sizes between the Torque-Converter mounting pads and the Flex-Plate to measure the space.
Use washers between the Torque-Converter and Flex-Plate to adjust the spacing if needed.

I am fairly certain that the Flex-Plate for the 6L80E Transmission has a different bolt pattern that will not allow a 4L60E Torque-Converter to attach.

If the truck with the 4.8L engine, originally had a 4L60E...

Then YES, you can use the Flex-Plate with the 6.0L block/ engine.
