I searched for years for this car. My health has taken a nose dive (Parkinson's) and trying to safely operate that heavy clutch is near impossible, let alone getting in and out of the car. I have about $10,000 invested, but will entertain a reasonable offer from an ideal buyer. That buyer will need to appreciate the value of keeping her original (being 1 of 78 1990 GTAs w/a 5 Spd), and not some "kid" who just wants to do an LS swap and pretend s/he is Vin Diesel. I don't know everything about this car, as I bought it from the widow of the prior owner. I did pull a Carfax (still have it in PDF) in 2020 and it was a CA/West Coast car and there were no reported accidents (not sure how good Carfax reporting was decades ago of course). It is black, has the Y84 GTA RPO code, T Tops, leather interior, 5 spd, posi, etc. Overall good condition, no rust and fun to drive. What I've done: Hawks Billet hinges (new hatch glass too due to shatter) - do not tighten these billet hinges at the glass more than finger tight!. New headlamp motors. A couple of other little things. What I know it needs: Paint, obviously. Small ding in LR quarterpanel (dime sized) by gas fill. A/C needs charged (or repair, not sure) and the HVAC blower motor sounds awful (rebuild or replace). Wipers are slow (maybe transmission links seizing up due to age), power windows are slow (worn motors and/or regulators worn). The clutch linkage and tilt wheel linkage both have a little wiggle (worn linkage points no doubt). Parking brake won't hold on incline. Although dash pad is perfect, door interior panels need work. Driver's seat is worn, front passenger is in GC and rear seats VGC. Radio antenna mount wobbles. With some work this can be a mint show car. That was my original goal. But I can't even change wiper blades now. My health has taken the joy out of owning this beauty. Feel free to ask questions. Again - I won't let her go to some "kid" who just wants to modify and LS Swap. Located on the north side of Palm Beach Co, FL.
....for 16 years. Pics are a few months old and you can see how much "modding", I've done to it; (Brakes, shocks, wheels). I actually started a thread about how lame I am now, that I don't do any actual mods any more!
Where are you "at" on price? It's not clear in the original post. Are you looking for the ~$10k that you've put into it? What's the condition of the drivetrain? Would it drive itself to UT, today? Thx.
EDIT: It appears to have a 3.43, posi rear disk brake (PBR?) rear. 10 bolt? Or 9 bolt?
How's the clutch? Oil leaks?

The drivetrain is solid. I only drive locally, just to rotate the wheels, but she runs great. I don't know what specific brakes are on the car, but it has disc brakes all the way around (part of WS6 package). They work perfectly. I don't know I would chance a cross country in any 35 yr old car personally. I used Montway (a shipping broker) to get it to me in FL from CA. It isn't cheap, of course. Compare to say, airfare one way to FL, then gas/lodging on at least a 2 day drive, or round trip trailering yourself. But until she's fully restored with all the wear parts (like belts, hoses, etc) new, I think trailering or shipping is best. Remember too, A/C isn't working so it would be hot on the road. Assuming no one ever modified the rear end, the GU6 RPO code means 3.42 ratio (I think that's what you're asking).
As for price, asking is $10,000 since I've invested that much, but I am willing to negotiate for the right buyer. But I won't give it away either. It's hard to price cars this old that aren't concourse/mint and appraised by a professional from Barret Jackson et al!
I also have a couple boxes of stuff that go w/the car (came with it to me). Extra radio (unknown condition), door or T Top gaskets never installed by previous owner), tech manuals, literature.
I posted the RPO codes, and have a RPO translation on a word doc or pdf. Not sure if I can attach it here but there are websites with what each code means.
****Updated: I can't see the rear end looking at the back of the car (exhaust blocks view) but google says it should be a 10 bolt. Not positive on that but as far as I know it's stock.

Reason: additional
Ahhh,, to be 53 again, if I knew then what I know now. Love the Vette! Totally understand the need to keep'nr factory. That is why I'm being buried in mine!! Although one day I will install the factory big brakes up front and PBR's in rears, diff off a 90 of course - even that is a struggle, nothing like a seeing a drum on the back, kids these days don't even know what that is! And then there is always those subframe connectors... always nagging me in the back of my mind.
OP, Other than the T-Top trim, and the aluminum trim around the back glass, I can't see what's wrong with the paint. Can you post some higher res pics of the paint or specifically the blems in the paint? Is the clear coming off?
Also, in the pic of the odo reading it looks like the dash face has blems or cracks in it?
What's the oil leak situation on the engine? It MUST leak...some!
How's the floor pan/rockers, lower door corners?
And how's the headliner.
I'm interested...I've bought cars (and boats) long distance (and had great success doing so) in the past but to do so, a buyer needs a lot of hi-res pics to really see what we're working with here. I.e. I wouldn't be able to make a move on it until I'm confident that the car in the pics, matches the car I'd be standing in front of, in Florida.

As far as I can see, the pans and corners are solid. I can't get under the car of course. But it seems all solid. I haven't noticed any oil drips on the garage floor but she is 35 yrs old. Instrument panel looks great to me. I'll see if I can add pics in message body. I could only upload 12 to the main thread. She needs a paint job that's a given. Blemishes on hood. Some clear coat peeling up between the glass and roofline, wing is rough but the rubber is solid enough. The escuchteon band around the glass was POR15'd and touched up when the hatch shattered. Also, the metal brackets that hold the wing down were gone long ago to rust - so the glass shop glued the wing down. Keep in mind it might be hard to remove if you wanted to go the route of a Hawk's fiberglass. The scratches or whatever on the front bumper IDK, It came that way. They don't feel like cracks so not really sure. As I said, the person I bought her from was actually dead so I couldn't get a lot of answers on things. If you search my handle I have a thread or two on the hatch shattering and other little things over the past 4 1/2 yrs. Hold on for more pics. I'll try. Just waiting on them to come thru to my email so I can upload here (if it works)......
Thanks for those. Pics look good, door corners look great.
FYI, if you're taking the pics w/your phone, you can go on this site and upload pics to this thread directly and not fuss w/emails etc. and reducing pic sizes for email and all that. Just add posts to this thread on your phone and then do the pic attachment right on your phone. "Easy Button".
Just saw that you posted more pics while I was posting. I see it now. Car needs a total repaint, 80% interior, on a 105k/35yr drivetrain. It's a full restoration, in my observation. A solid starting point, for sure. Do I want another project car? Do I? Do I? IDK. Going to have to stew on this for a while.
When's the last time PM was done to it? Oils, coolant, brake fluid? How old are the tires?
She's not really a frame off, but does need TLC to be like new. There are plenty of ready to go cars even on here, but at a much higher price point. You know where to find me lol if you have other questions, etc!!!
At 105,193 miles (July 2020 when I got it) I had the oil done with full synthetic. So, about 350-400 miles on the oil. I start the car every couple of days just to keep fuel and all circulating. Drive around the block a couple times a month is all I"m doing. That little bit is hard enough on me . That's all I've done fluid wise. Battery is new though. Tires are good. I don't know how old they are (were on the car when I got it) but no dry rot. I can't find a date of mfr on the sidewalls, and no idea when they were installed. I couldn't get much info from the prior owner (deceased). Plenty of tread left on them though. Guessing 1/4" deep. They are definitely not original (TAs usually had Goodyears from the factory). G Force Pro Comp on there now. I had planned on new tires when I got to having the rims refinish to look sparkling new but haven't gotten to it. I have the carfax I pulled in 2020, doesn't say much. I don't think a lot of places uploaded service records to Carfax back in those days. I don't see a way to attach it here (PDF) but could email to you if I had an email. Mine is sklearman at bellsouth dotttt net

Hi,
Hope you are well.
Is this car still available please?
Which engine does it have...350 or 305
Can you confirm it is a T -Top as difficult to tell in the pics?
What is price please?
On 1/28/26 it appeared someone asked "Hi,

I can't seem to find it in the actual thread now. If that was you, as stated in the description it is a 5.0L (305). Yes it is a t-top and yes still available. I have about $10,000 in it in total and would like to recoup as much as possible. I think the fuel pump went out recently though. It will crank and briefly start if you squirt a little gas or starter fluid into the air intake, but won't stay running. I haven't had a chance to dig into it further or tow it over to my mechanic for repair. Until I see how bad Uncle Sam is on my taxes next month, I can't get her fixed. Most questions otherwise are answered somewhere in the thread itself I think.
Is this car still for sale? I am in the middle of deep-dive restoring my 88 GTA 350 auto car, and I'm itching to get back into a healthy running and driving, 305 TPI 5 speed car. Black is not my favorite color as it always looks dirty... But I do love a CA car, because typically they are exceptionally clean as far as rust goes. I drive down to Fort Lauderdale once a month for my job and the next time I will be going down is May 7th and 8th. I will also have my car trailer with me because i am dropping off a Front end cut, hood and fenders for a customer down there. I'd love to maybe grab the car and take it home with me. I'm not upset that it needs a Fuel pump(possibly a tank and injectors too). Send me a PM and lets maybe talk over the phone and see what we can come up with.
