Rear Caliper Slide Pins

I have a 83 Z28 with a transplanted 87 305 TPI. I also replaced the drum brake rear end with a disc brake rear axle from a 86 Camaro. During my rebuild, the rear disc brake caliper slide pins were rusted, heavily pitted and not in great shape. Simple fix, just replace them with new. No, they have been discontinued. Got the last set from Rock Auto, Advance, NAPA, O'Reillies, Auto Zone, Parts.com, parts Geek, and any other place I could find are out of stock. Found some on Ebay, but man those people want upwards of 65 dollars for a set. Saw a set for 20 but they were sold. Does anyone know if someone is making remakes of these? I checked Hawks, but I could not find them listed.

Any chance the front ones might work?

Re: Rear Caliper Slide Pins

Looking at pictures of complete replacement rear calipers for an '86 on Rockauto, next to the replacement front caliper slide pins, 84 1LE might be onto something.... they definitely at least look identical in design, don't see any info about sizes though. Knowing GM, safe bet to say that they're interchangeable. If your front calipers are readily accessible right now, probably worth taking a couple minutes just to see if they'll fit. If they do, you're in luck, because GM used the same front calipers from thirdgens on pretty much everything in the 80s, good shot that your local parts store will have the pins for 'em in stock, probably in the Dorman Help! section
