Couple minutes of fiddling around... finally figuring out this photoshop thing. My opinion is I don't think it'll be the best look without lots of fabrication, at which point you won't have much of a fifthgen hood left. The one hood I've seen that really works on these cars is the Jongbloed/Sunoco hood that follows the existing creases in the stock hood. You could do that and integrate extractors into it similar to the build by user: morrow. Or just put a black vinyl stripe on it.

I thought about that idea, it looks nice on your car but in a perfect world, I really want the ZL1 insert on my car.

thank you! It will be difficult to graft the center section of a gen 5 hood onto a stock thirdgen hood. The 5th gens hoods are aluminum. Im still weighing out my options. I like the Sunoco hood except for the seam that runs down the center of it. If the cowl section of the Sunoco hood was a few inches narrower then it would be perfect too.
