Kicked butt a Sealy track last night
Hi Houston guys, I posted this in the drag racing section but thought I would share it with you guys. this is the track I was trying to rent and organize a meet for us out there. We should still do it.
Wow what a blast I had last night at the local 1/8 mile strip in Sealy Texas near Houston. Ran my 91Formula 350 WS6 that is mostly stock except for Ed Wright Chip and SLP single air box.
1st run - I line up next to a beautiful, new looking Camaro Z28. I figure what the heck this will be fun. I get a reaction time of .6399 and pull about 1/2 car length ahead immediately, 60' time of 2.12, not my best ever but right up there, then maintain the same lead all the way to the finish line. 9.14 at 76.41 mph, my best run of the night, I BEAT THE SOB by .074, HA!
Second run, racing a 6 second camaro with Idon't know what so the race wasn't important. I tried to practice reaction time, red lighted with .4301. Hmmm, good experience.
Third run - racing a souped up late model Ford pickup truck. Well geez, I guess I spun my tires a little, beat him by .892 seconds, my worst run of the night. 9.45 at 75.03 mph.
Fourth run - DONT STOP READING YET THIS IS THE GOOD ONE.
Im lined up against a motorcycle (its time trials). So a guy with a really nice looking Mustang GT, late model with a "Westside Mustangs" sticker on the side is behind the motorcycle and says, "Wanna race". Hell yes I do. There was another "Westside Mustang" Cobra that ran 8.88 earlier I had seen so I figured this would be a tough one to win. I pull a .72 reaction time and he immediately jumps out to about 1/2 car lead. .216 60' time, not too bad, Im staying with him. The BING, right before the finish line I shoot by him and ACTUALLY WIN by .069 seconds. Time of 9.27 at 75.32 mph, my second worst run of the night. I pull up next to him on the return lane and say "dude what happened". He's all bummed and says forlornly "I missed third gear". I say "well Ive got an automatic".
I guess its true what they say, a win is a win, because man I sure felt good all the way home.
If I can just get money for a few mods for this car It's going to rock. This is only my third time at the track but sure won't be the last. Get out there dudes with your thirdgens and lets kick some butt!

damn right, sealy is bad ***. its good to go there casue you can practice your reaction time and take off and the rest is all the same 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile. its fun yall really should go out there. you get more runs in becasue its shorter and it is a very nice track.
