Hello,
I am new to this board and live in SW Houston. While it is not the first 3rd gen. Camaro I have owned ( I had a 89 for about 3 years--basically stock-kinda--that was stolen out of my driveway last Aug) I just recently purchased another 89 IROC Z-28 with MANY performance mods already in place, but needs some TLC and some of the things need redone, but I'll get to that ASAP!

I have looked around at most of the different catagories, and read quite a bit on this BB, but I do have a couple questions. I see that there are a number of different weekend "gathering" sites around around town. Since I live closest to the 10/Hwy 6 Sams Club site, I am going to try and drop there for a while Sat night and check it out. I am wondering what other gathering sites there are around town-- when/where? Considering I'm just some old fat guy (51--won't tell U my wifes age!) that refuses to grow up, (Actually, I play with slot cars for a living!!! I build pro level 1/24th chassis for top racers around the world!) I was wondering if the Westheimer Sonic drive-in group is just for the younger crowd or the "young at heart" too? I don't want to be part of the next group that gets drug downtown like last time!

I was wondering if there are any parts sources/stores that specialize in 3rd gen--or at least have a working knowledge of them? (I HATE to go to somebody for advice and it ends up that i know more than they do!!!)

Are there any repair shops that specialize in the same? I read through the "private installer index" and am probably going to become good friends, or customer, as the case may be, with a couple of them, but I really need somewhere good, to do some of the work I want/need done!

After reading a lot of these posts and becoming familar with a lot of your post names, I hope to meet some of you boys and girls somewhere along the line!
