Houston repair shops

Hello,
I am new to this board and live in SW Houston. While it is not the first 3rd gen. Camaro I have owned ( I had a 89 for about 3 years--basically stock-kinda--that was stolen out of my driveway last Aug) I just recently purchased another 89 IROC Z-28 with MANY performance mods already in place, but needs some TLC and some of the things need redone, but I'll get to that ASAP!

I was wondering if there are any parts sources/stores that specialize in 3rd gen--or at least have a working knowledge of them? (I HATE to go to somebody for advice and it ends up that i know more than they do!!!)

Are there any repair shops that specialize in the same? I read through the "private installer index" and am probably going to become good friends, or customer, as the case may be, with a couple of them, but I really need somewhere good, to do some of the work I want/need done!

Lots of Stuff--from normal maintence to performance mods and stuff in between.

I am/was a GM factory trained mechanic that made my living turning wrenches for a while. Now, I'm just some old fat guy (51) that refuses to grow old, with a left artifical hip and need a right one and back problems, that can't physically do a lot of this stuff anymore, and has not kept up with modern technology.

Where is Leander in relation to Houston?

right now we are working out of a home garage in N. Austin, Leander is a small town just north of Austin.

if you are willing to drive your car here and leave it with us for a little bit we can take care of what ever you need. we have lots of 3rd gen experience. there are 5 of us starting this shop, 3 of us have 3rd gens and have done just about everything there is to do to one.
