Hi all.. just an idea. I wonder if any of you have parts that are lying around that you would like to swap for something else??

I have the front facia from a 92 Z that I may want to swap for somthing of equivalant value. It's genuine GM part.. in the GM box ... so if you got something to swap for it let me know. Maybe we can swap work for parts or vice versa.

You need body parts, engine stuff? I'm sorry I have yet to call you dude, been busy with my own swap . Once I get a few bugs worked out of my 86, I'll call. I'll open the shop up this weekend if I got an empty lift (sooo much easier).

 

I can tell your a buzy man, especially with a swap on deck.
It's just an idea I had about swapping parts with a fellow third gen-ers. I really don't need any body parts, luckily the body is straight. I do have that front facia that is just taking up space in my storage.. so to trade it for some thing I need/want would be great. Maybe somebody has extra mechanical parts lying around or stereo equiptment or hand tool. It's just an idea anyway.

EDIT: Parts I do need are for the front end rebuild, tie rods, centerlink, idler. Next up will be the rear brake rebuild. If no one is willing to swap, I'll most likely put it up on Ebay.

 

LOL. I'll change the parts fer ya! Just kidding, I'm not in need of a front piece....yet anyway. I test drove the car today, that little motor is making some pretty good power.

 

Did you get that off a 4th gen?
I had a 4th gen for a few yrs with a 3.4 and I was pleasantly suprised on how well it performed for a 6cyl. I had a 5speed tranny with it so It made it fun to drive. With a new tune up and good gas, I could make it chirp in 1st, and 2nd.. sometimes 3rd. I guess that's why I needed a clutch just before I lost it
