Well I'm finally here...despite the best efforts of the car some 300 miles outside of El Paso.

I'm kind of overwhelmed with work but would like to know if there are any weekly car shows or typical gathering areas in or around The Woodlands where I could get out and socialize.

there are alot of 3rd genners in houston, so I think you'll feel right at home, im in austin.

Yes there are weekly car shows several places usually on Sat nights. One of the biggest is in the Woodlands, but somebody from up on that side of town will have to post exactly where. Been there a couple times good turnout usually a 100 cars or so.

The other big is in front of the Sam's club in west Houston at I-10 + Hwy 6

Seeing as I am working and staying in The Woodlands, and looking for a house up here, I would LOVE to know where the car show is.

I'm planning on being at the gathering in July as well!

The car show is on 242 and I-45N in the parking lot of Wallmart. The show is from 6-9PM. It ends PROMPTLY at 9:00PM.

Its hosted by the Woodlands Car Club and are very strict about their rules. Its not that bad really.

If you are working in the woodlands, you will probabally see my car quite a bit. Pretty much all weekend it is parked on the highway, northbound just before Woodlands Parkway.
