HRP--last night
Went out to HRP (thanks to Barry for the free tickets--THANKS) last night. Even though it was threating rain all afternood/evening, there was good car count (am told it was down from normal because of threating skies).
While I was there saw a bunch of 3rd gens, and got to thinking (dangerous I know--I apoligize for that!) about all the discussions of having mini gatherings occasionally either here or other places, and was wondering why all we ever do is talk about it?
WHY CAN'T WE ACTUALL GET IT TOGETHER AND DO IT?
Regardless of where and/or when, I would really like to have some "mini-gatherings" occasionally. If it just takes somebody to take the initiative and put it together, then I'll do it!!!
Let's try and do one in the next few weeks! Just to get the ball rolling, anybody got any suggestiuons where and when?

Because someone always says its too far to drive, no matter where its at, or someone has to work, or someone has this or that going on. So whoever is putting it together feels the need to change plans to try and accomodate everyone. For mini-gatherings, it needs to be "this place, this time, this day" and just do it.

OK, dammit! HMP Fri night 7:00..........BE THERE.Car running great now after finding something really freaky...The top of the intake gasket on the center 2 ports (#4 & #6) was GONE!!!! Not in the valley, not stuck to the intake, just GONE! That could explain why the car was running like a POS. Still have some electrical issues (those who have seen under the hood will not be surprised), but it won't keep me from racin'!!!!!

That may be a ways down the road, cause it will invlove cam and intake change as well. But the set of heads I was looking at were too big (I know....no such thing) /with the right cam & those heads, I could run the quarter in the 10's. But then it's no longer a street car. I wanna go faster. Still messing with carb, but it's running at least as good as it used to. I believe now that carb is too big, but I think I can squeeze some more out of this one.
