You could become anorexic. Or just remove stuff that you don't need, spare tire and jack, back seats and passenger seats. If you really want to get crazy you could put on a fiberglass front end and pull the A/C out.

I saw a LONG post somewhere with all the stuff that can be done.

RS Chris listed some basic things right there. Getting more drastic would be things like tubular control arms and front crossmember. Alum radiator. Plexiglass windows. Alum heads. Fiberglass hood/fenders/front clip. remove spoilers/air dams.

You can visit your local racetrack for a whole host of ideas. If its going to remain a streetcar, well then some of these ideas wont be safe/legal.

HTH...

Seats, spare, jack, debris, lighter exhaust (unbolt everything after the headers ). Doing all of that could asve close to 150 lbs...which is like not having you in the car. At the next gathering, I'm coming race prepped, you can bet on that. I wanna be running close to Sonar on the bottle...I'm fairly confident I can win in a race against afew of you guys now...

Considering U were running mid 9's in the 1/8th without, I have no doubt U will be doing some spanking. I'm not sure if I want to go up against U!!!

I have had this list for a long time, don't remember where I found it. All of the numbers after are the weight savings. If I remember correctly, they are just the average differences, not set to any one brand.

Also take note that some of these were already options that came stock on some third gens. Enjoy.
