I tell you what, its sitting in the shop right now, I'll let you break it in for me, then I'll take it back when I get home in 2 weeks. Oh wait, sorry, its an LT1 clutch

it's all good man, just yankin your chain, I know too how hard it is having to wait on the parts you need. I definitely want to give you a run when you do get one, I know you've got a strong car.

Cool! Did ya get the trans fixed? Beating you would be so much more fun than beating Mikey's slow piece of sh*t.

not fixed, only "patched". It should be good enough to make a few passes. shooting for 8.60's and solid 13's!

well i ran in the 8.70's last time out. So im hoping for better but the odds of that are slim. but who knows, a tune up and a tweak of the timing may be able to pull it off.

Barry, steven, and yourself, should kick my ***. Especially in the 1/4........****ing LTR

Hey, there's nothing wrong with long tube runners!!

You're on (HRP not HMP though). I hate how HMP barely has any braking room after the traps.

You need to install a parachute.

Actually I hate HMP too because its so disorganized and small parking area

just wanted to let everyone know, since esc isn't going, I WILL rule the track

T-56 + Spec Stage 3 + 4.11's + Nitto's =

*correction, since esc is a possible no show.

Do redlights count?

If they do and that's a clean win, then I'll run U even though your about a second faster.

thinking of jumping the gun a little craig?

but, as usual, I may have spoke too soon. I've got a pretty bad vibration that comes in about about 65-68 mph and seems to get worse up to about 75, then seems to stay the same up to about 100 mph. I tested this by pulling off the wheels and rotors, setting the rear on jack stands, throwing it in 6th and slowing bringing the rpm's up. At first I thought I'd get lucky and it would be a wheel, but pulling the wheels off made no change. I found one post that suggested flipping the driveshaft 180* in relation to the pinion yoke, tried that and still no change. I just hand the driveshaft dynamically balanced and new Spicer U-joints put it at Houston Driveshaft, so it *shouldn't* be that. The only other thing I can think of is pinion angle since I made a new crossmember. Anyone know how to check it?

When did the vibration start? Experiance has taught me that just because the driveshaft was rebalanced, it may not be right!!!

Years ago when I was roundy round racing, we had a driveshft made to length and balanced for a dirt late model (1 BAD A$$ CAR--WON 4 FEATURES AND POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP--UNFORTUNATELY I WAS NOT THE DRIVER)--we had a horrible vibration in the driveline--drove us crazy, until we sent the driveshaft back to be checked again--it was balanced wrong!!! Also make sure U have not thron a weight!

Pinion angle--I have an explanation instructions from when I got the Spohn torque arm that explains how--it came with a floating degreed "level/ angle finder"--your welcome to use it if needed!

I once had something like that. I had twisted my drive shaft so that the 2 u-joints no longer lined up properly. One day when I was doing about 80 (the vibration smoothed out some over 75) the back 6"s of my transmission broke off. The case was scrap, but I managed to limp home (about 60 miles). Then all the transmission fluid poured out of the gaping hole in the back when I tried to go up my driveway.

BTW, I'm still not sure if I will make it tomorrow, but even if I do I'll probably have skip the track.

yeah.....I don't want that to happen....

actually I've isolated the vibration/noise to the diff, 99% sure its the front pinion bearing. pulling it in just a few to check it out. if it checks out good, then I'm SOL I guess because I can't think of anything else it could be.
