Has anyone tried to re-color leather seats? I have some 4th gen seats. the passenger and rear seats all match.they are a light gray.I've finally got the drivers seat of of ebay but its a darker color grey more a graphite.

I've seen vinyl paint and used it in the past on vinyl trim. Don't know if its the same process for leather.

hey alex, i just got a set of leather 4th gen seats from a friend and they were that grey color. one had a stain on it and i used this leather restore stuff i found at oreilly that really did a good jod. ill have it with me at the next meet on the 13th

 

ZAP89 mad a post in another thread about getting some seats reupholstered at the flea market on Telephone rd. Give him a holler, maybe it might be easier to do that instead of dying the material--might be able to get some custom work done?

The rear seat is in excellent condition as it was hardly used. The passenger seat is in good condition just needs some color restore or something. The drivers seat is a completely differen't color. I'll try Jay's color restorer first. Thanks Jay see you all on the 13th.

Try a search or make a post on the interior tech column here on the 3G board about recoloring or dying to change colors--probably some good info about it .
