Help! Cooling fan...

'89 Formula with dual electric fans... I have voltage to the secondary fan, but she no go! Anyone locally have a spare laying around??? I would like to get it replaced this weekend. If you have one call me. 832.443.1156.

May have to do the auto parts store thing--I don't think they are that expensive. I think I paid about 40.00, but that was about 2 years ago.

Delco fan motors are not too expensive, save some grief and go new. BTW, open up the old one and I suspect you'll see that the brushes are worn out as that's what usually gets them. It's a shame but those brushes would cost about two bits a piece. THere are two kick-butt magnets in those motors that are perfect for holding fender covers on. Pull the flat metal spring out that holds them in and they slide right out. They are very handy. If you get some of the tool dip that is normally used for tool handles, you can dip the magnets and give them a soft exterior. In the event one gets stuck straight to the fender, this will keep it from scratching the paint.
