LOOK INSIDE --Free drag strip time at HMP 6/25/06 10AM ------>
Just got off the phone with Jim Jenkins--one of the instructors at UTI. UTI has rented thee track this Sunday morning!--he said everybody is welcome to come out and make some passes!!!
U can not run in the bracket eliminations unless U are a UTI student, or instructor cause the money and awards are reserved for them.
Free drag strip time this Sunday at HMP from 10 am til about 12:30 or 1pm or whenever it is that they start the bracket racing!
I'll be there waiting at the gates at 10am!

Condidering we know that TPI cars are very sensitive to heat/conditions, I'd say the new higher stall Torque convertor made a difference, because the 8.49 was in much nicer weather conditions--cooler and not so humid. If U facter out the 1/8 mile run into a 1/4 mile run, I'd say Owen was right on in guessing the new TC would make about a tenth quicker run, but reaction times are different and I was having trouble adjusting to the new response times--eithr slow or red lighting! Best RT was a .539, but that one was just luck--could not repeat!

The only thig is that it will probably have to wait til end of August!
Mom just went in for hip replacement yesterday--Her husbnd who has advanced alzheimers is over here at my house, for the next week/10 days until she gets out of the hosp--then we take care of both of them until we leave for the Slot Car Nationals the first week in Aug--be gone for 10 days--then come back and probably a couple more weeks of care, but probably not as intense.
So, as U can see I have a full plate (and then some)--besides Barry will MAYBE have his car ready by then!!!

Maybe you should get one of those practice trees and work on your reaction time at home. Come to think of it maybe I should. I always zone out a the line and am lucky to cut a good rt. I think our race will be won off the line.

Look at us, a bunch of old f^rts falling asleep at the flash of a light!
Got to learn to take a daily OMAN* like me.
I thought all tracks went to the .0000 RT as perfect a few years ago, but looking at my HMP slips, one run was a .4329, which was a red light.
