Yeah, those heads should easily flow enough to give to give you a 12 second pass. But it depends on your combo. Is this thing going to be a TPI setup? Because if so you have to be careful with your cam choice, youll need to upgrade your base and pleneum etc. to get the most out of those heads. You will also need to have a chip tuned for it.

At the risk of a stock lower end that is, i sprayed a 200hp hit on a stcok TBI 305 for 1 year before the fuel pump crapped out and detonated a cylender.

Now with these heads should i get the shorter runners or should the stock ones work fine?

Well, it ran like a scalded ape, it surprised allot of LS1s and olmost got into a couple of fights because people did not wanna believe it was a 5 litre, but anyone that recently met me know my size may have been a deterrant Never got it to the track, i was too poor to have slicks back then.

Nitrous with cast pistons .................. yikes!

I've seen some catastrophic failures and some that last awhile. It's a crap shoot.

You ever see the super chevy(i think it was) or CHP mag that they went for bust on a 90% stock 76 350, only had a n20 cam, and intake n carb, safely went 325 shot, i think they went 425 shot or somthing like that when it popped a piston finally, it was so much that there was a dense fog of fuel and nitrous above the horn of the carb on the dyno, chevy power!!! Like a rock...a cast iron piece of rock.
