Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

i plan to make it out, but as usual for me i never know what may happen at the last minute, so no guarantee
i'll either be in my POS monte, or i may have my SS going by then.
if i do make it, i'll bring some drinks, dogs & chips.

edit for spelling,..

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

Hi Guy's,

Looked like I wasn't going to make it after all as on the 15th is our big family Christmas and it was goin to be in Dallas this year. Because of the meet they are either going to move it to the 22nd or change the location to Houston. How's that for a family??

I'm going to try and get the Convertible repainted by then.

Alex

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

I went to autocross this Sunday and my bird actually survived, i will get the rockers adjusted next weekend and if everything goes well i will be able to make it. I got 5th place in novice class, but at least i was able to stay ahead of 98 mustang by 1 second lol.
anyway, I'm really looking forward this, and my manager was surprised when i requested half a day off almost three months in advance lol

My making it is now contingent on new rear brakes and a passed inspection. I still have hope, so we'll see. I hate iron calipers.

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

For those who are traveling solo, I think it would be nice to have some kind of help in case something happeneds. I'd hate to get back on the boards a couple days later and find out someone couldn't make it because they broke down the side of the road. Everyone please save this number in your phones to call incase of an emergency and depending on how far out you are and what problem your having. Maybe some of us could head out there with our tools to fix the car and get it safely to the gathering or get you home. The number is (813)478-3600.

Everyone be safe on the way there and back home!

I changed mine to the 4th gen PBR calipers for a total cost of about $200.00

I highly recommend this mod.

Oh yea, (something on topic) I'm still planning on being at the GTG.

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

I was reading this:

"Date and Time: Saturday - December 15th, 2007 @ 3:00 pm till dark, BB-Q will start at 5:00 pm.
"

And it occurred to me that it will probably be getting dark by 5:00 pm in the middle of December. Should we move things up a couple of hours?

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

you mean moving it to start somewhere around 12:00? that would screw with my scedule pretty bad... I'm sure we could bring couple work lights and make it daylight lol. It probably would be better for everybody if started around 11:00 that way there is enough time to set everything up and just have fun

I was thinking maybe 1:00pm then BBQ from 3 until dark. I know it is a little late to start trying to change the times, so should we just leave off the "until dark" think and keep the same times?

If I am not mistaken we have started around 1:00 pm in the past, but as stated it is a little late to start changing times. I will be there around 1:00 and easily BSing until dark.

Awesome man, you should definitely do it. Although its a longer drive than I have been on with my car I always enjoy group cruises. Its what building these cars is all about.

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

In a separate thread, I'll post a reminder as we get closer to 12/15 stating that we should all start showing up arround 2:00 pm, but I think we should still all plan on being there no later than 3:00pm. This will give the out of towner's a little more time to make down here.

Does this work for everyone??

Yeah, good idea. This isnt the marines or anything people can come and go as they please so it will be better for some of the people scattered around town or further to have a later arrival time. I am sure there will be alot of us there early. We dont get to do these things much so I soak it in as much as possible.

Yeah, I wouldnt risk it man. As you are well aware too many things can go wrong during all of these "custom" swaps and it ends costing alot more than you think, takes more time, etc. I say just roll out how you have it(new clutch of course) and this way you can put a little more money aside and be more prepared for the big stuff.

Barry doesn't come around here very often anymore.
He would probably like to go, but I don't know how to get ahold of him.

A PM probably won't do any good.

Anyone have his e-mail address?

I wonder if it is in his "info"? Let's see....

Turns out it is, I sent him an e-mail..and I noticed that he was on the TGO yesterday, so I guess he does still check in here from time to time.

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

Barry will most likely come with Sue (Craig's wife), who by the way is trying to sell Craig's car. So, most of you guys know the car, so keep an ear out if you know anyone that might be interested in it, I'm sure she'll appreciate it.

To all bringing a NON Thirdgen F-body -

Of course you are all welcome to join us! The only thing I ask is for you guys / gals to park at the end of our parking area that way we can video / take pictures of all the 3rdgen F-body's together as a group.

Somone still needs to get ahold of Fatal88 and 406Z ........

Still pray for good weather!

Mike

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

I am going to try to get that whole weekend off to go to this.

That Saturday is Graduation, i am graduating with a Bachelors in Business.

May have to skip both to go to this.

Members of San Antonio 3rd Gen Organization have been strongly encouraged to go.

I am also going to let the Austin Third Gen club know of the events so they are aware.

This should be a blast!

Brian

Re: Official Annual Fall Memorial / Re-union Gathering - post here!!

Iim still planning on coming and getting my son to come by too with his 90 bird. I've decided to put the stock shifter back in because I don't feel like modifying the car to get the B&M Megashifter in. I'd like to sell it if anyone is interested. I also have an extra heavy duty cable I bought because I didn't realize one came with the unit. Im sure the car will be just as fast with the stock shifter, even though I have shifted from 1 to 3 on occasion while racing.

If anyone is interested let me know, I will bring the shifter to the meet.
