WoW! You wasted that thing, I have seen them worse but you havent had it on the road that long unless it was in before you put it back together. Are you going to pick up a performence piece?

Re: IT'S ALIVE!
Nope, i am putting another stock replacement in it. How you think i keep the T5 alive! It was the 3rd engine it has been behind so it was overdue having track passes on it.
********************UPDATE*******************
Got my rearend, it need a axle, the pinion set and brakes. I also found a flat glass hood needing a little work for free. Itll get me by.

It is a DANA 44 i picked up for 380$. As soon as i get her fixed i will have no more 7.5 worries. I need to know what kind of brakes can go on it. Say Daniel, do you have disc brakes on that 9 bolt you have?

Re: IT'S ALIVE!
That looks a lot like my Dana 44. There are 2 varieties made by GM (that I know of).
Here is a link to my brake upgrade thread...
OK for some reason the link isn't working, try searching for this Thread:
"lt1 rear brakes on dana44?"

Re: IT'S ALIVE!
Your's looks like mine did...before I started modding it.
The 2 types I am aware of are the pre 1LE and post 1LE variety.
The pre-1LE variety pre-came assembled with iron calipers and associated hardware, a complete disk brake setup. To remove the caliper brackets, the axles and bearings must be removed.
The Post-1LE version did not come with any brakes, but the caliper bracket can be removes without pressing the bearings off of the axle. Making it easier to install what ever brakes you want.
Since yours has the iron caliper brackets in place now, I expect you have the early style (like mine) and will have to press the bearings off of the axle to remove the caliper brackets.
If you want to just slap it together with some iron calipers and you need some parts, let me know, I have the whole setup off of my car.

*****UPDATE*****
Well, i think my electrical problem was just my ignition switch, ill know tomorrow. I installed my MSD super conductors and they look better, ill find out how much better they work tomorrow. I also ordered me a 4 inch cowl hood, supposed to be here thursday of next month.
I am transfering the 4th to my old unit, which means overtime, that translates to more money to get the rearend i bought fixed, get my crossmember and torque arm....*joy*

Yeah it would be nice to have some help. You should have seen how I got my transmission in by myself it was very interesting. I will post more details tomorrow when I get the car back up and running. I am going to PM you soon to discuss the business we have been talking about.

Re: IT'S ALIVE!
Sweet, I may just have to take you up on that offer. I appreciatte it. Hopefull when I crank her back up tomorrow everything goes well. I had a throwout bearing problem before and that should be fixed however I broke my fuel pump fuse (custom harness) when installing the shifter so I have to redo that and as stated before the car hasnt been driven in a while so there could be other problems.

Re: IT'S ALIVE!
Yeah, its a little different for me at 185 but the real problem I have is lifting while laying on my back it kills my shoulder for some reason. Its like I have something in it that prevents any motion when I am trying to do a bench press type move. Oh well, I got it and I have a pretty funny picture to show you guys later because of it.

*********DAMNIT*********
I got my hood delivered to me today...
1) It was chipped on one corner.
2) It was as flimsey as a sheet of paper.
I refused it and called the seller, i told him i wanted to upgrade to the bolt on, that way there is no problem with the rigidy of the damn thing. I am upset, i guess ill be making this meet hoodless.
