Central TX I need some advice....

It's tax time and my baby is due for a paint job but I am new to central Texas and don't know of any reputable paint/body shops in the Killeen/Austin or possibly Dallas area...

I have very limited experience with body work so I'd like to have it done by a pro. The clear coat is completely gone, there is a small dent in the rear quarter and the passenger door has been replace so it is a completely different color...

I'm hoping to keep it under $3k (Uncle Sam wasn't that nice this year) if needed I could do a majority of the prep work myself...

Any suggestions for me?

Killeen should have a few great choices...as many nice restored cars as i've seen there. i don't know any off hand, but i would check some of the classic car lots there and ask around.

Welcome to Central TX. I know lots of ppl in and around the Austin area with paint shops. What color do you want? Candy(have to ask)? Two tone or anything of that sort?

A part of me wants to do something wild or maybe just add the Heritage stripes depending on cost but more than likely I'm going to keep it the original bright red...

Austin is only an hour away so if the shop does quality work for a reasonable price it's well worth the drive & trailer rental to me!
