New Owner

Greetings and Salutations.......

i just bought an 1989 IROC Z28. i am a happy owner. i live in killeen. i've been looking for an iroc for about 6 months and i found the right one. i have a problem with it. it cranks right up and runs really good. when i turn it off, it doesn't crank up. i have to wait about 15-20mins before it cranks up. has anyone ever ran into this problem? i've changed the maf and tps sensor.

thnx in advance for your help

Re: New Owner

If your car has a chip in the key, then I would look at threads about fixing or even Bypassing VATS completely before throwing parts at it that aren't even in the starting system.

The next thing I would look at is the starter, but look at VATS first.

Re: New Owner

Are you running hot? The starter or cable might be getting too hot
