Hey guys looking for someone who can help me get my car running. I'm in Houston. Willing to pay. I just recently swapped In an lb9 from a 90 Iroc along with all the wiring and ecm. It cranks but will not run. I have no injector pulse and can't figure out why. PM me or post in this thread. Thanks -Luis

Make sure wires aren't crossed, test which wires have power and make sure engine has ground power

Re: Help getting my thirdgen running
Most likely culprits are bad/not enough grounds on the ECM and engine, bad ignition control module, bad ECM, or no signal from ECM to ignition control module. Check continuity between the top of your plenum and the chassis, it should be close to or below 1 ohm. Also check for spark while cranking.

This problem rears up from time to time in the forums, I did a basic google search and came up with tons of threads on Thirdgen about it. Also;

Re: Help getting my thirdgen running
I had a similar problem with a TBI S-10. It was a faulty ignition module. I dont know about 3rd gen wiring but on an S-10 the Ignition module had to send a 5 volt refrence out and if it doesnt send that, then the injectors would not fire. It was not easy to find that one. But before you spend a lot of time on this possibility, I give 1983 chimaera a X2. Check on these forums first.

Re: Help getting my thirdgen running
I discovered my problem yesterday.

I decided to open up the ecm to see if it had some kind of damage done to it and the first thing I see is my prom out of the socket. So I insert that in there correctly and finally I have pulse again. I guess somehow it came out.

Anyways I appreciate all of the input guys. I hope to see all of you at this years THIRDGEN round up!
