3rd Gen Newbie

Hey all, not new to cars, just these. I acquired my 1990 Firebird on a trade originally intended on flipping it, but my 4YO daughter fell in love so it's still around. Anyway, it's nothing fancy just V6/auto without T tops, it had the Formula hood on it when I got it. Since I've had it I've only replaced the tires, it's now sitting on 245/60-15's. I need to replace the gears in the headlight motors too.

I've been kicking around a 400 Pontiac/T56 swap, once I get my Valiant back together.

Other toys I have lying around are a '69 Valiant 2 door, working on a 440/auto swap in it and a '70 Challenger, that's presently a mostly complete basket case.

I know most sites want to see pics, here's a couple right after I got it.

Re: 3rd Gen Newbie

That looks like a nice clean example.
Those are getting harder to find all the time.

How is the interior?

The Pontiac swap isn't the easiest, but it can/has been done. If you are into Poncho motors and think it would be cool, then go for it. If you are just looking to liven the car up, there are easier ways. If it is going to be your daughters first car, I would leave it stock.

Welcome aboard and good luck with whatever you decide.

Welcome in, MoparBill!

If you need parts for your Firebird or advice, you're in the right place. I myself have several 2nd and 3rd gen F-bodies and a 69 Dodge Coronet Superbee clone(restoring for my dad).
