I have been on thirdgen.org for like 4-5 years now and this is the first time I have posted here

Anyway. I live in milledgeville and would like to let everyone know that The track in eatonton ga is an 1/8mile and is open year round. The are having a big race the sunday after thanksgiving and race every thursdaynight and every sunday.

I haven't been out to Eatonton, yet; I usually go to Silver Dollar or Commerce. I think my brother saw you down there a while back-he was in a white 99 Camaro SS-I doubt you remember, but I think we used to have a video of your GTA going down the 1/8 mile...

My car has been sitting in the same place for about 4 months. I have a strange overheating problem and no one can seem to help me out, so no racing for me until I can afford to take it to a shop.

Hey whats up man. I hope you get your car sorted out. Eatonton has lots of action on thursdays! So do you have a video of my Red car or my other car ? the one that was sanded down and with primer spots on it?

Yeah, we have that video somewhere on our shelf. I think it was the red GTA, isn't that the one with the Stealthram? I remember my brother saying you had that on there...

BTW, I got excited the other day because I drove my car like 40 mile without it overheating. Then the next day it overheated after about 15 miles. Doh...

 

Yeah it used to have a stealth ram. It now runs 6.70's has a 4in cowl. The motor is actually for sale. Its the same motor just with a diff induction system.

You have no idea why it overheats ? maybe a cracked head ?

Sometimes my car will not overheat no matter how long I drive it. Other times it will go about 25 miles and then start to get hot. Once it does, I can usually pull over, let it cool off and then it will be fine for the rest of the trip...
Does that sound like a cracked head? I never had this problem until I installed that (worthless) Edelbrock/Accel intake. But if I clogged a coolant passage or something dumb like that it seems like it would overheat all the time and consistently, so....
Hopefully, I will be able to take it to a shop with my upcoming Christmas bonus.
I will let you know what I find out.
All of this crap makes me want to sell this thing....

I at least wanted to make one 13 second run before I sold it, but oh well.

What motor/induction did you have to run 6.70's??? That is very impressive. You don't happen to know a guy named Sean with the white Z28. He runs there sometimes. My brother got to know him, he has like a 406 with a whole lot of nitrous. Just wondering.

Yeah he is one of my best friends. I helped him build that car. I jsut put a 406 in my car. He ran a 6.91 all motor and 6.02 on a 200 shot.

On mine I switched to a edelbrock performer rpm and holley 750 dp. I just did not have the time, money or patience to correctly tune my efi setup. I got a 7.45 out of it with a 150shot before i swapped it.
