Should be first weekend of June if I remember right. And don't remember any open comp from last year
Was a good show though, and a good deal of vendors/swappers.

I'll probably be up there, but I can't run my car with that poor v6 t5 behind it. I just hope it gets me through till I can get the t56.

the more the merrier.
i am in the process of beefing up my rearend. then i'm gonna go back though and redo the entire fuel line system and put a double pumper on the car, and redo the ignition system with all msd stuff. hopefully i can get that accomplished before the beginning of June and maybe squeeze some low 13's outta the little 305.

Hey mw66nova, you ever change out the motor mounts on your beast? I need to take the v6 mounts off my RS to put some v8 mounts on for the new motor, but really don't want to drop the A arms. From what I've read though, with out dropping it I'm in for a hard time. Just wondering if you've had any expiriences with it.

oh, have i ever! i can do it in 45mins from start to finish without taking the a-arms out. of course, this is assuming you don't have the motor in.
easiest way: get an impact gun.
put the impact gun on the bolts from the top of the crossmember. slip the wrench in-between the a-arm and the k-member, putting the boxed end on the nut. blip the impact wrench and it comes right out. putting them back on is a bit more of a pain, but just take your time, and be patient.
i've done TWO v6-v8 swaps, both using moroso solid motor mounts, and i put a set of solid motor mounts in my dad's car for a christmas present one year.
with the motor out, it's a pretty simple job. take your time and try not to get two frustrated.

yeah the motor and trans are out. was wanting to get the mounts on today but trying to decide if I want to put a cam in the 350. not sure what it has right now though, it's a stock vortec 350 out of a 98' truck but having issues finding specs.

for the love all that is good, CHANGE THE CAM! you'll be much happier. but if you decide to go with a cam with more than .450" lift, you'll need to have the valve guides machined for lift clearance.

I wasn't thinking anything too extreme, somewhat mild really. It will be my daily driver. I'm just a noob when it comes to picking one. What would you use with a roller motor?

if your going relatively mild, i'd suggest an lt1 cam, but i really don't know much about roller cams. i do know that alot of people like the lt1 cam. you can find them used on ebay alot.

As much as I'd like to, it looks like I'll probably just leave it with the stock cam for right now. The heads don't have any work done to them at this point and I can't see myself getting what I want out of a .450 lift or lower cam.
