Live in Key Largo, work in Miami.

I used to goto towers shops with the guys from SFR, but they turned out to be import **** and **** in general, so I stopped hanging with them.

So, I stopped going.

Yes I did, but only for a week. Wiped the cam out so I had to yank it back out. Going from a fairly big solid cam to a roller set up. Can't decide on hyd. or solid....

donor car? and what have it sitting in your back yard? Cophers is inexpensive enough that a donor car is not cost effective, unless you plan on parting it out and sellin parts on ebay.
fender $30
hood $30
whole engine w/accessories $200
starters/alternators $15
Batteries $16
Plus hundreds of cars to pick through.

I just bought a set of 4 camaro rims and tires for $100 with good tread on all 4. Now thoses are my autocrossing tires/rims.

new to the site but picking up my firechicken tomorrow. Im located in Delray Beach, but go to school in Miami. Once I get it, focusing all the work on making it into a drag car.
Its got a 350 in it, which Ill probably swap for a chevy 350 if I can get a matching trans.

I live in Miami Lakes ( Miami Dade ) off the palmetto and Miami Lakes Drive, wow, at least I am not the only South Florida guy here on the boards!

The Tower Shops in Davie has turned into a jap feast! I was soooo shocked! I went there 2 weeks ago with my nephew and could not believe it, the last time I was there before was almost 2 years ago where there was just a few jap cars by Michaels side, but what a shame! Most are crappy junk under 3k, I would like to kill the idiot who made those fast and the furious movies. Andy

Quoted for truth, that and the crappy console racers based around 'tuners'(my a** the games are all about how much ri** you can stick on your car).
I will say that Need For Speed Most Wanted is a fun game, I got it for the good feelings that Hot Pursuit gave me way back in the day, hell atleast Most Wanted lets you drive a 1st Gen Camaro.

Now if only someone would come out with a game based off of the same system as the new NFS game, but only with classic American cars, an old school city, and without cops that drive vette's.

No, Andy, you are not the only South Florida guy on the boards, but as you can see, we are small number....

I was told that the Tower lot is over-running with jap metal, but I figured it would still be a good place for us South Florida Members to meet up. Besides, I almost find comical to look at some of the cars...perhaps one day they will wake up and smell the coffee.

OK, I am throwing this out there for the Miami and Palm Beach people.....

Since the Towers is no good anymore, how about the Big Daddy Flanagin's on Atlantic Boulevard in Broward County, a block or two east of Federal Highway??

This Friday night (January 20, 2006) at 9:00 pm??

We need a future date set far enough so a midway point can be made, the broward area is right, it is in the middle. Anyway, I suggest a date with enough time for more to attend. Andy

Turns out the new job is paying once a month so it'll be a bit before I have my stuff in order enough to hang.

...but on a great note, I love the job and the boss is ultra cool.
