Upgrades!!!!!!!!!!
I just finised rebuilding my t-5 and asked the wife for some play $........ I just order my intake(edelbrock RPM),Headers(Headmen shorties),timing chain, and gaskets, and I'll be picking up a cam and lifters in a few days.......so this week I'll be pulling the motor to prep it for new cam, intake, headers, and some paint.I wanted to get some valve covers but the bank said isnt that enough...well for now I guess it is.........finaly I can get some much needed fuel and air into and out of her and see what she can realy do...right now I have a performer intake stock manifolds and a cam with some thing like .454 lift......I think I'm gona go with the edelbrock RPM cam / the summit one like it with a little less duration @ 0.050....we will see....... also I'm gutting the cat...
it's the original from 84....I'm sure it is a little restrictive by now.

Mike, if you don't mind, I'm going to offer my .02. If you want that engine to really come to life, go with the Comp Extreme 274. That's what was in it when I got it and that thing ran like a raped ape. The 274 will give it a nice idle and gobs of power.
The Edelbrock cams are old technology and not up to today's performance standards.

Yeah, I put a brand new clutch in when we built the car. It's nothing fancy, just what I picked up at Oriely's. The Blazer is doing fine, but have lost interest and could use the $$$ for other projects. I drove it daily for a couple months and was getting 15+ mpg. And yes, I fixed that rear belt and installed the rest. Good luck with the car! Congrats on the new baby too!
