Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

well test and tune seems like a good place to meet up, give us time to swap ideas and parts, plus see out ET's if we want, maybe even strike up some local interest, just seems better than meeting at the beach or a parking lot to do the same, i left a letter on a nice 3rd gen at the mall the other day, but no word back, im going to look for another drivers door this weekend, still mad about it!!!!!!!!!!!, but o well, we are going for the MS area next meet, so we will be back in the area then

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

we can be out there as late as 1am sometimes, if we had a good show up and for some reason some un expected happened IE rain, dew on the track, or an early finish, there is plenty of parking lots near by, once again my # is 251-709-3445 so we can get intouch incase of a rain out or what have you, DJ posted the info, a few posts back, test and tune and grudge matches can be fun, you got everything from 4 wheelers, bikes, rice burners, true imports, and big boys, its really fun last time i want and that was forever ago, DJ is coming to my house tonight for a party so i will get him on here to give us some more info

BYW i need to know a number on the people who want the

"Gulf Coast Third Gen's
www.thirdgen.org"
stickers, also need to know of special requests like color, if you want it reflective or not or what have you, they will fit perfect inbetween the rivits the hold the back glass on, will be white in color and look as typed ablove w/o the quotes or the underline , be under $20 per sticker (i got a friend of a friend that doing them now so it may be ALOT cheaper than $20). i know dmans wants one and my friend DJ wants one.

I will be meeting up with dmans sunday, if we come up with any bright ideas we will post them

Also wanted to throw out this, someone needs to bring a cooler and ice please, as we can put sodas and water in it and keep them cool so we have drinks, i figure everyone can bring there own drinks, and whoever brings the ice and cooler can have drinks for free, i guess first one to say yes gets it LOL

----------
BTW LETS KEEP THIS GOING GUYS!!!!! IM GLAD WE HAVE A HAND FULL OF PEOPLE THAT A WILLING TO DO THIS, AS SAID BEFORE WE WILL BE IN THE MS AREA NEXT MEET SO WE WILL BE CLOSER FOR THE MS MEMBERS!!!! THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

all right guys the fees are as follows: $10 dollars per head to watch.
or an extra $5 dollars per driver to run.

directions to the track: I-10 EXIT 10 IRVINGTON/ BAYOU LA BATRE.

EAST BOUND TRAFFIC: take the exit and turn right. go to the end of
road and make another right, at the first traffic
light make a left(the light is right after you get
on HWY 90) make another left at the first road.
go to the end of that road and you will see the
track just ahead of you. beyond that you
should be able to find your way in.

WEST BOUND TRAFFIC: take the exit and stay to the left, follow it
around and after that the directions are the
same as for east bound traffic.

the gates usually open at 6:00 pm or 7:00 pm. i usually get there around 6 or 7 depending on when they open the gates. i will be in my honda but jason should be right there with me. BY THE WAY I GOT THE COOLER COVERED.

THEY HAVE A WEBSITE, www.mobiledragway.com

IF YOU HAVE ANY TROUBLE WITH DIRECTIONS OR ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE CALL ME, (251)-510-2545.

I GUESS THAT WE ARE STILL GOING ON JANUARY 18. I MAY END UP THERE NEXT FRIDAY AND I WILL ASK TRACK MANAGMENT WHAT TIME THEY ARE OPENING UP THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND LET YOU GUYS KNOW.

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

well well well..............if it rains than we will meet in that parking lot on saturday around 2pm, BUT AS OF NOW WE ARE GOING FOR FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE DRAG STRIP!

but that leaves us with a back up plan incase of rain, as i said before its a popular area, there is stores and restarunts near by and some gear heads that hang out there also, so there is a chance to meet new people also, maybe some other new third gen peeps.

ANYONE GOING TO BRING SOME PARTS TO SELL OR SWAP??
----------
BTW............. Welcome to our little world zact1024!!!! its nice to see someone else on here. Whats the stats on your car??

i'm still around , not sure if i can make it . i will try , its a family situation . there may or may not be a wedding ( shotgun type ) that i am obliged to attend . oh well , i'll explain when i see yall again . just a thought , if we can keep this ball rolling we should think soon about a group/club name and a charter . navyCM started the ball rolling so , what do you think bro. ?? keep it loose or get organized ???? i think we could get going , but it would be slow at first . a little organization or structure would be a good thing . anyone else thought about this ???

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

not sure of what to say for the name, i always figured "gulf coast third gens" would be good since there is LA,MS,and AL people in our group, and thats what they call with area, the gulf coast....plus i also feel to have more members we need to have that area, but stat close to the gulf, that way we aint driving 300 miles to a meet! any feedback?!?!? would really like your feedback NAVY, im willing to go out of my way to get this going

i will ask DJ about the vert issue at the drag strip

just a reminder bring drinks (NO BEER) DJ is providing us with a cooler and ice

Not sure where we are parking for this event, but thats why me and DJ have gave our #'s out so much on the board, feel free to call me or him (we will be there early) to ask where we are parked

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

Hmmmmm............................60% chance of rain.......i dont trust weather men, but im going anyway, they can dry the track off, IF it even actually rains, FYI if you do go and it gets rained out, they give rain checks so you can make it another weekend at not cost to get in. i got to work saturday , so that puts me out on saturday,

NEED FEEDBACK ON WHAT TO DO GUYS, i doubt it will be raining but will check again thursday night to see weather updates

yea i am seeing this also! well the weather channel is showing a 10% chance from 4-7pm, a 30% chance of rain from 8-10pm and then 60% + after 11pm. Still heading out that direction tho. Wet parking lots are always fun!! lol j/k

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

Well it was fun, wish i didnt rain........ o well, sorry about us leaving early but we had to catch that fire call, i do agree we need a set weekend that we meet up and rotate areas.........

how was sonic?? i know most sonics have a "car night" once a month, maybe that could lead up to a good meeting place, park off to the side so we can still talk swap ideas and parts, and be seen also, maybe get so people to stop and ask questions, and that can lead to members

i know its going to be hard to figure out places to meet but yall liked the sonic thing, then im sure most sonic would be open to letting us park, im sure they would want us to buy a drink or burger...

Any other ideas on meeting place in yalls local area????

thanks again for making a good turn out, its was nice to see, be even better when all our members get their projects done to and get to show off their 3rds!!!

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

had a great time however short of track time we did get. Oh well. Was nice to final meet a few of you guys. I believe we suggested an end of the month meet each month. Next meet being on the 29th of Feb. at Gulfport Dragway.I think thats what we agreed on last night. Can't find my damn memory card adapter but will have pics up of my time slips soon.

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

Okay here are my time slips for the friday night. First pass was against a full size Dodge diesel, think something happened to him at the start cause i just left him sittin. Second pass was against a new SRT-8 Hemi Charger, left me that time. Lol had a good ol' time tho. Oh by the way did everything go okay on your fire call 89RS?

Re: Gulf Coast 3rd Gens

got my time posted, not bad times for a pretty much stock lightly modded 305 TBI with 140k, stock 2.73's, That was letting the trans shift itself, not racheting the gears, and with the worthless boat anchor speakers in to

Custom Burned Prom
MSD Blaster Coil
Blue Streak Cap & Rotor
Accel Wires
A/C Delco Rapid Fires
No Emissions
Full 3" Exhaust Flowmaster 80 (no cat)
Open 10" round 4"high K&N Breather
Factory Restrictions Removed Out Of TBI
Drag Strip 700R4
Still running stock manifolds (my headers look pretty in my gagage)
