Hi Florida owners,
Wondering if anyone remembers this dealership in Orlando, I think it is known as Carl Blacks now.
This is the only history I have with the car and was thinking of trying to get this dealer emblem restored. I think it is made of die cast and will be difficult to do from what I was reading.
This is a long shot but was wondering if anyone would have this emblem lying around that would be willing to sell or know somebody with one. Need a spare one to try and restore. I can get someone to try and restore it but no gaurantee. They will have to remove the chrome first to see what the metal is like underneath.
Thanks.

Re: Florida Owners
Can't help ya with the Florida ties, but that must be a sister dealership to the McNamara Pontiac that was in Atlanta back in the day- Exact same emblem, other than reading "Atlanta" rather than "Orlando".

I had a look on the net and there are a lot of these type on emblems around. They all have the same bar in the middle with the dealer name on top of the bar and address below the bar. Even some Ford dealers used this type. Most be a generic type.
I will see if I can get a picture of the Atlanta dealer emblem.
Thanks.

Re: Florida Owners
Still no luck on finding the dealer emblem. I am trying to get the one I have restored but it is very expensive to have it rechromed (£135 in the Uk). That is if it can stand up to the process. It is made of diecast so may not be possible to do. I have also looked into having it sprayed with chrome paint but that is also expensive (£80 in the UK).
