Re: Hawks Beach Bash 2013?
I just read a thread on LSX.com that was posted yesterday that it will be held in October. The author of the thread was said to be Terry, I'm assuming Terry B. as he had a lot to do with last year's Bash.

Im glad to see the date was changed. Its a little cooler in October and space out from the Gathering. Anyone else on board or wanting to go?

Re: Hawks Beach Bash 2013?
We are going to try to make it to the Beach Bash.
Lots of stuff going on. My father suffered a very serious stroke June 18th. He is one step away from being on his death bed, and is just barely hanging on. We are taking it day by day and it is tough to make any sort of plans.
I have also been working a lot of extra hours to keep up the payments on my student loan.
However a fellow has to make time for fun stuff once in a while, so we are going to plan to be there. It could change in a moment's notice though.

Re: Hawks Beach Bash 2013?
It looks pretty good for us to go to the F Body Beach Bash.
My supervisor is going to make every attempt possible to let me off from work for a few days. Everything depends on if a newly hired nurse works out or not. So far, she is doing well, so we are keeping our fingers crossed.
Dad passed away on August 5th, so most of that is behind us. The only thing left to do is some will and legal stuff.
Several Beach Bash attendees are planning a convoy from east Tenn through Asheville NC, on to Myrtle. The details are on the FB page for anyone interested in joining the convoy.
We are going from NC to South Georgia a few days ahead of the event to take care of some family business, and will be hauling our 86 TA in the enclosed trailer behind our F-350. As cool as F body cars are, old folks don't do so well riding long distances in an F-body.
So hopefully we'll see you-all on Friday...
Lets have a big turnout for this event!
The website is up.

Finally got word from my boss that I can get the time off for this event.
We'll be making hotel reservations in a couple of days.

Re: Hawks Beach Bash 2013?
I might be able to make it. I went last year. I'm almost positive my RS went faster on MB Speedway than any other F-body that day. (car that went before me pushed the tire barrier back allowing me to go WOT on the frontstrech) I think I hit 90ish mph.

Re: Hawks Beach Bash 2013?
Here you go,
Barefoot Resort and Yacht Club, North Mrytle Beach.
Two bedroom Villa for $88.90 each night. Summer sale price. Booked it on Expedia.
I called and verified that they have available parking for the truck and racecar trailer.
We are planning to go to Dolly's Pirate Adventure for the dinner show on Saturday at 6 PM, if anyone is interested.
We will be drivng in on Friday from Valdosta GA. (400 miles) If the track event is arranged, we will leave earilier to get there in time. If there is no track event, we will arrive later in the day.
We are are going to load the car back in the trailer on Saturday night, and head home to NC on Sunday AM. I have to work Sunday night.
