Hello everyone! Arkansan here just surfing the net about my new project and found thus site. After more than 20 years of wanting a third gen camaro or gta I finally found one, and have the time to build it up. Here is what I got 1990 camaro rs hardtop. Been in my driveway for less than a week and im dieing to tear into it.
Seems solid. Bought it from a lady said she went to store turned it off when she tried to go home it wouldn't start. Looks like she let someone work on it. They didn't fix it claimed it was ecm. They gave me 2. After bout 6 hours I finally got all the kinks worked out only to find out its missing the coil and pigtails to the icm. Also with key on no sound from the fuel pump. Tomorrow the coil comes in, gonna see if it will fire with starter fluid before I buy a pump. If not I got 2 built sbc and trannies ill throw them in and go.
Thanks. I've decided to remove the V6 and tranny after FINALLY talking to the old owner found out it's been 12 years sitting on the back of a car lot.( I bought this online had it delivered by third party). That means most likely more work and money than I want to put into a V6. Already started pulling the motor, will probably sell it and the rebuilt tranny. Going to take the carbed 350/th350 from my truck throw in the camaro and the built 305/th350 back in the truck.

yea from here on will be slow going. Im tore up from the floor up just unbolting and removing the motor. That and being on a small monthly income means the rest will be a project.
Good idea with the carbed 350. With that setup you could slap it back together and have a car again. If I wasn't already in the middle of an LT swap this is the route I would go simply for the ease of installation and the low cost of old carb 350 parts.
what part of Ar are you in? there is a 3rd-4th gen salvage yard in Searcy called camaro motorsports on the rural end of main st. Brandon is the guys name that runs it.
