Anyone know a good (professional and responsible) mechanic/shop that can work on my 1987 IROC near Panama City, Florida? Mechanical and/or body?

Thanks!

What kind of work?

General mechanical repair: Sherwood Auto Service - Randy Sherwood 850-271-8246

I don't know of any other honest mechanics in this area. I'm sure there are a few but not many down here.

Auto body: haha... hahahaha.. AHAHAHHAA!! Good luck on that one around PC. I only know of one that is truly capable and he has gotten away from break-fix projects and even general car restorations. He has found a better line of work specializing in certain types of vehicles. This is a do it yourself special if you want it right unless you bring your car down the coast a ways.

Tuning: pm me on that one.. I know someone

Re: Panama City, Florida...mechanic???

Thanks for the information. I live in Wewahitchka so it is a really tough area to get things done right. Now I'm having issues with the MAF (I think). Car surges ONLY on idle, ONLY on cold days. I cleaned the MAF according to forum advice with special cleaner (it was dirty). I am not mechanically inclined nor do I want to be. I need to find a mechanic I can trust. I just want to take the T-tops out and fly down the highway!
