The "Stealth Project" consists of a 350 stroked and bored to a 383+. I added the + because it's closer to something higher . The engine will be run by a Holley Commander 950 Projection unit (air/fuel mixture). To handle the power coming from the motor I have had 3.73's installed w/ a 3 series carrier, SFC's, KYB gas-a-just shocks, and Traction Action lift bars, w/ the rear sway bar removed. The rear is protected from a stronger than oem housing. I have only removed the rear seats for weight reduction.
I'm calling it Stealth Bcuz it's stronger than just a sleeper.

Of course there's the High flow cat and Flowmaster w/ 2.5" intermediate pipe and open air filter.

If I told you anymore I'd have to kill you.

The 950 is the only hold up right now due to the 200 variables for programming

Oh yeah, I'm in Raleigh/Durham

VERY SAD DAY.....

today is a VERY SAD day for me...

today i was hit from behind in my 1989 RS...its my baby...i almost broke down in tears...

the F-body in front of me was cut off and he slamed on his brakes...and i slammed on mine...i didnt hit him till i was rearended and was pushed in to him..the front isnt that bad...the rear of the car is like a pancake...the car is on the borderline of being totaled...i DONT want that to happen....i have only had the car a month...it cant go....its too new....the rear is smashed...the wheel wells are sticking out..the lights are hanging...the doors are hard to open and close......i almost broke out in tears...i have called the insurance company...ill get some pics tomorrow....

Just hope and Pray that its not totaled...if it is im gonna part it out....but lets hold my head high and hope for the best!

Very sad DABE

DABE,

That sucks to hear the bad news. I can't really offer much to make it easier on you, but have to say that I know how you feel. I lost my first thirdgen to the stupid actions of another driver after years of work and almost all of my savings had went into it. No matter what though, just be glad that it wasn't worse than it was. It sounds like nobody was injured. That alone is something to be thankful for. As far as what the insurance company decides... I never would have thought so at the time, but it turned out better for me that they totalled the car instead of saying it could be repaird. I spent a long time talking to the appraiser about all of the work and money that I had put into the car in order to get everything that I could out of it. I got enough money to replace my car with a newer thirdgen in better shape than what I had (although more miles on the engine). Plus, I kept my car in order to salvage what I could.

Well, I know nothing anybody says will help too much, but no matter how it turns out, fix the car or get another thirdgen!

Yo Dabe that Sucks! I can't imagine what that "pancake" looks like. If it's anything like I'm thinking- I'd buy another F-body and keep the old one to swap parts. Frame work just isn't pretty.

After just purchasing my 240sx last week I was thinking it was a good thing. I was dying to get my 'maro back but I know it's best to keep in the garage for "weekend only". Hey do you get insurance discount for that?

always remember that no matter how bad you think it is it's only a car. The car is replacable, you and your bodily functions, aren't.

Peace

That's for sure! A car can be replaced. Limbs, muscular functions, etc....there's a bit harder to get back, ya know? It could have been worse man. Hey, there's a bazillion third gens out there for good prices!

Hey man, that 95 Formy sounds good. Did you get the membership agreement I sent you? Sorry about forgetting to attach it the first time.

Anyway, good luck with the insurance people tomorrow. Hopefully you'll get enought cash to fix the 89 or buy the 95!

I'm not sure what to say as far as an estimate of the damage, but those pictures brought back some memories.
