HEY! Whatsup guys? I'm from Greensboro. I was in a club here in GBO, but it started falling apart from the inside out. Some of us are looking for new NC blood for informal 3rdgen talk and track events...or just BS and wrenchin' help!!!

HELLO YRUSOSLO! Good to hear from you! Things got a little to hot for me in the club, so I chose to fly solo for a while. There was no reason all that crap had to be club business...
...Anyway...good to hear from ya!

My time is so limited I'll spend what free time I do have at the track practicing my RT's I just found a time slip from last year when I ran a 16.3 and my RT was 1.X and my opponent's was .5X
Man, I coulda got high 15's on that 305 b4 I yanked her out

Yeah I've seen a lot of Lowered Atmosphere's around. They require you to slam your car to be in the club. I've mostly seen imports and trucks. Do they have any muscle cars? I believe that they also switch cars amongst members so you can drive different cars.

YRUSOLO- all of lowered atmosphere's cars and trucks are slammed, in fact, alot of them are bod dropped and bagged, but they dont trade cars or anything like that.
Ponchjoe- the fayetteville firebirds arent back together, although alot of times you can find alot of the old members still out cruising together. i usually run into them out towards eastover and such, but every now and then, you can find them out towards the mall and such on nice weekends.

Attention All NC people!
Hey guys, a friend of mine pointed me to this thread, so I registered and thought I would share something with you. I see that some of you are thinking about organizing a club. Well, I'm in the process of putting my thoughts together for a car club right now. It will be open to all NC and SC residents that own GM performance vehicles. Third gens are definitely welcome, especially since my pride and joy is a 92 RS.
Abubaca, YRUSOSLO, and Ponchojoe what's up guys? Recognize me? It's MATT!
Any of you ask these three guys and hopefully
they will tell you that I know what I'm doing when it comes to car clubs. I was a member of the same club these guys were. I also decided to leave due to the founder royally screwing it up for everybody. I was the membership and public relations coordinator for the club. I increased the membership from 15 to 53 before I left and organized many events, including a track day at Rockingham Dragway. I don't mean to toot my own horn, I just want all of you to have faith that the club I'm starting will be fun and helpful.
So if any of you would enjoy being in a club exclusive to the General's finest (F-bodies, muscle cars like Chevelles, Novas, GTO's, Buick GS's, Grand Nationals, Cyclones & Typhoons, Vettes, etc.), then keep your eyes and ears peeled. I'm still typing up the initial stuff right now, but it's going to crank up as soon as possible. With a full course load at NC State and working 40 hours a week, it might take me a little while to complete the initial drafting, but it's coming, I promise.
Anyway, just thought I would share. Take it easy.

ahhh mannnn you blew my cover!
Actually I think this board is cool that you can have it broken down to region/state/city
I was thinking that it was cool that you are including other cars. With the NC Fbody and NCTGA there really isn't a way to start up another fbody specific club. I think it will be cool to see other cars and get more familiar with their time slips. This way if you meet up w/ another similiar car on the street you know what to expect

Sorry for blowing your cover!
Yeah, I wanted to start a club that all GM enthusiasts could enjoy. The more I thought about it, the less I liked the idea of another F-body only club considering there are so many awesome GM cars out there. I wasn't really worried about the abundance of F-body clubs in NC, because CFB is really the only big one. From what I've heard, NCTGA isn't doing so great and the board is pretty dead now.
But anyway, as soon as this week from hell at school is over with, I'll start working hard on getting the new club going. I'll keep everybody posted.
Later!

I'm originally from just above Mount Airy, NC. I was stationed at Ft Bragg from 94-98 and trying to get back there next summer to finish out to retirement. Also, I raced in the SCCA Solo II trials at Rocky Mount, Laurinburg, and LVJM Coliseum in Winston Salem when I was there. Something different. Very well organized events with the Triad Sports Car Clubs. Check it out.
No problem
moore82nd, I'll definitely let you know when it starts, which won't be far off! I'm getting everything in order now. I'm going to "advertise" on all the GM related boards I can find. Talk to ya soon.

I live in fayetteville, nc myself. A real boring place to be. The only thing i have to do is hand out with the guys for the f-bodies.
Yes I did edit it. I just figured out who to do that..

Check the hangers, and tailpipe-to-muffler connections for looseness, but most importantly, check the heat shielding above the muffler for loose/missing screws.

Bad catalytic converter.
>when i put into gear my whole car shifts.
Could be: bad universal-joints, sloppy rear end, loose control arm or panhard rod bolts, or bad bushings in those. Loose or broken transmission mount. Wheel bearings. Check the u-joints and tranny mount first since they're the most likely culprit.
Oh, and welcome to Thirdgen.Org.
