i think its something to do with the charcoal canister. cause you fuel pressure held for a long *** time.lol... check all the hoses around the canister

... you might want to peek under the back of your car next time you get somewhere you're going, too.. mine did something similar.. fuel sending unit gasket had gone.. was spilling gas out the top of the tank =\

Then again, I was also getting liquid fuel into the canister (even though the mechanics swear up and down the vapor and return lines weren't crossed), so who knows where the smell was actually coming from..

yah ill check it out today when iget home. but if it was one of the fuel lines wouldent it make the smell from the start? i can drive a good 20-30 minutes before it even starts to smell.

TechSmurf i dont think it could be coming from tha back since the smelll seems to come from the front of my car. if i turn my ac on u can really smell it alot more, but ill check anyways just to make sure hehe.

well from what i understand after a while of driving the charcoal canister purges the fuel vapors or something like that, its a part of emsissions BS. so id think if it does it after driving that its gotta leak where it sends the vapors to the intake or sumthing, but i dunno much about how the charcoal thing works.but it hink thats right

I've heard of the canister getting pluged up over time and fuel actually spilling out of it, so like Sebastian said check out the Evap Can. if you need one that works i have an extra and i dont want it.
