Possible Fuel Problem.

Hey guys im having some trouble wit my camaro right now. When ive been driving for maybe like 7-10 minutes my car starts to smell alot like gas. its coming from tha front of tha car. if anyone knows wat can be tha cause of this it would be of much help. thanks

yeah,if its from the front,check the rubber part of the fuel lines,and then the injectors could be leaking or the fuel pressure regulator.

LOL!! Be careful with that fuel problem! I had that same problem with my old Bronco II and when I finally figured out why it smelt so much like fuel it was because I had a fuel leak ON TOP OF MY ENGINE BLOCK!! Needless to say after my friend bought it from me (to put a new engine in it) the bay caught on fire on the way to his house....

sorry ive been busy,the car got broken into by some morons and my amps got jacked, but that was it,the idiots left all the speakers and tools and crap. the alarm is going in this week...but anyways, i think im free anytime friday...pick a time and ill see what i can do


oh yeah,anyone gotta drivers side door glass i can get, the morons chipped mine when they were gettin into my crap.

That Sucks. They Actually Broke My Window Opened The Steering Colum And Tried To Lack My Car. They Failed To Turn It On So They Took My Amp Stereo And Stabbed My Speakers. Well Im Leaving To Cali This Thursday Morning Wont Be Back Till Monday.

yeah i know its crap. i think some of the construction ppl did it,since their puttin up new houses all around here. they prolly woulda tried to take my car if it'd had a tire on it,but at the time,a tire was off cause it blew out. well i plan on leavin the car unlocked n open in the street all day one day,n campinout somewhere close by w/ a bat and a paintball gun. and im not joking.lol

I'm new here and I don't know if you fixed the problem but it is pretty common for these cars to leak gas where the main fuel line comes in to the back of the fuel rail nearest the firewall. It is the big nut next to the fuel pressure regulator. Bleed the system and change out the o-rings. Try that.

I dont know what the subdivisions called,lol. its right past mc85, the new houses, if u were to turn left on the second street on the left, which would b zak rd, and follow it down,ud c one of my cars. its impossible to miss,its the last house on that street,if u wanna stop by sunday go for it. we should be here workin on his car.

im doing graveyard too. sucks working over nites sometimes specially tonight. i dont get out of work till 3pm from 10pm saturday till 3p sunday then get ready and head to camstud at 7p then go back to work at 10p lol yay ill get 3 hours of sleep this time lol

as far as i know he'll be here around 7 i think? and were pulling the plenum and injectors and replacting the o-rings, and the fuel pressure regulator.

so hows the car w/ the adjustable fuel pressure regulator? if you want i can turn the psi up a little. if you still semll gas then the only other thing it can be is the evap canister. your fuel pressure held for a long long time.lol

well it sure feels alot better now but i havent really drove the car much after i left ur house i went to work and i usually drive my truck when i go to school or anywhere i go. i have the iroc parked. ill go try it out tonight go drive down to tempe or mesa or somewhere far hehe so i can see if it smells again like gas.

still smells like gas. i drove for a while today after i got out of class. it started to smell but not as bad as other times. every damn stop light i was mad lol smelled and smelled. i changed tha fuel filter so its not cause of that i also got my rear serviced today too lol
