Headers Install
What's a good place in Tucson to get header's installed? I have to put headers on my wife's Bird just so I can install the dipstick tube. Any suggestions? Tom, I know what you are going to say, but you can say it anyway.
Yeah, Exhaust Works on Broadway. I think that they do good work. They told me $200 installed for headers on the IROC.
If you want, we can just do it ourselves. We can do it this weekend. I am off for Fri, Sat, and Sun. We can work at night, seeing as it is not that cold and I have all the lights at my place.

I may take you up on that. But I have to take care of some other stuff first. (Like my possessed power antenna!!!)

After I do the headers, I need to transfer my A.I.R. system to Amber's car to pass emissions.

bwahahaha
it's so easy to do it yourself, it would be a total wast of cash to pay 200 for theinstall, then again you do have a/c and that will definatly put haults to your install.
so whiteboy, when you get back were gona race right?

the track is like how many people there are to 1 chances of actually racing the person you want. Besides, I'm sure he won't back down

dude, her's is V-Belt correct, and I take it yours is serpentine, the smog upmps are not interchangable so looks like you need to go buy yourself a smog pump.
Chris will get you past emissions, for a price lol.

right now would be a good time chriss is broke and has not job willing to do it for cheap, give hem your car for a day and when you get it back you would no longer have to worry about emissions. TGO Supporter

I've read where Willie said that a v-belt air pumps can be used on a serp setup. So the other way around should work too, just need a v-belt pulley. You might want to ask him.

The headers were a freebie (1 5/8") not sure what brand. It's also a serpentine setup, not V-belt. I might let Chris do it, what do you say Chris, do you think you can help with emissions?

Nope no racing for me. Way too much to lose. Think I pretty much grew out of it so its pretty much just the track for me. I dont even think I'll drive it when I get back due to it not having any insurance on it. Hey Tom when you get here we'll have to check out the track. I get phase II when I get back so I'll be able to leave base.

This from a guy who'd run my VW from almost every light on the way home.
People pay to install headers?

Eric now knows just how much trouble he can get in if he is caught street racing. I need to get to the track to see what my times are before I leave here. I have not been since I put on the new hood or the exhaust and a few other little things.
Jet,
You were only tired out cuz you had been up all night, then you tried to stay up all day. You cant hang with the big dogs!

The headers would have been a breeze, if I didnt have my AC and emissions stuff on.

Ok, well Amber has all of her A/C stuff in place. Hence, the problem.

I got the headers from my father-in-law. He got them from a guy parting out his T/A. They are in good shape, but are missing the A.I.R. tubes. I'm just going to use the tubes of Tom's old exhaust manifold. There is no Y-pipe, so we will have to rig something, I just need to pass emissions and get it registered.
