I have never been out the Speedworld. How does it compare to Firebird?
I looked at their site and saw that they had Wednesday night drags, can you also run on Saturday night?

Eventhough its almost a two hour drive from me and fireterd is about half an hour, I prefer speedworld..The people are nicer, the tech inspectors will sit there and BS with you. The track offers a nostalgic feel that I like better...And it seems most be run about .2 faster at speedworld than firebird!
Speedworld
Let's just say this...
FireTURD doesn't have a med-evac team on standby, and if they
do, they aren't running the show according to the NHRA rulebook.
They don't have an ambulance crew to take you to the hospital.
And the track is the worst track ever known to man.
You may as well go run your car(s) on a frozen lake in the rocky
mountians!
Speedworld has a nice "home/country" style feeling to it.
Spectators don't have to sit a 1/4 mile away with binoculars to
watch competitors race. The safety crew is there round the clock
to ensure a safe environment... AND they have an ambulance
24/7. They have great parking and tech stalls that you can pull up
to and check out your car, add water, make an adjustment, etc...
Not to mention, they have a dedicated racing fuel distributor there
on property, so you don't have to run down the street to get it.
All in all, Speedworld, although on the extreme opposite end of
Phoenix, is by far supperior! ... and well worth the drive, even if
you just go to watch.
Edit:: Also, Speedworld doesn't have 20 Billion ricers taking up
the lanes. Majority of the vehicles ran at Speedworld are American
Classic Muscle.

They run Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays, from what I've heard.
Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings are a definate, but
a few people have said they run on Friday nights as well.
To watch others race... $10
To race with others...... $15
To get out there........... $20 (average fuel cost)
To Experience it............ Priceless
