I went for a couple hours. There was a black 3rd gen Camaro racing but no other 3rdies even around..

Although, the funny car that had the 85 Firebird shell on it pulled a 7.5 while I was there...

Are you guys planning to show down at Firebird this Friday, the 2nd?

I am also hitting the dyno on Friday moring to write the final programming for WOT into my chip.

If anyone joins me I will be happy to tune your car for WOT if you already have a EEPROM setup in place, of course and buy yourself some time on the rollers.

I would also like to get a pass on AZIROCS slicks, hint hint, if he is so inclined to help me out and come out this Fri. All I got to run on is ESAMS old Nitto DRs, they are pretty seasoned.

If I have my car back by then I might buy some dyno time. I will also need to get Friday off.

How much is the dyno time and where are you going for it?

Hey Bill, if you wanna try to set something up for Friday we are gonna need to talk offline first about your ECM setup for the TBI. I have never looked into those at all. In reality I would have to learn that ECM by Fri wich may or may not be possible with my schedule this week.

But anyone with an 86-92 TPI and 165 or 730 ECM will be good to go, those are the ones with I play with all the time.

I was there, there were other 3rd gens there, there was the 84TA that ran 10.56 letting off half track ...The fastest mustang there was brians that ran a 10.08@133 BUT its powered by a big block chevy ...We got beat, but every stang that was made the final rounds was trailered home, our fastest guy (Bryce) Left with the ac blasting, the only fbody trailered home was that 84. It was a lot of fun, I am sun burnt pretty bad though lol. as soon as azfba gets back up, I'll post the pics that are already posted.

Mark,

It may be tough this week, I don't know when I will have the Camaro back. But I just happen to have one of those other ECM's in my '87 T/A. What a coincidence.

MY phone number is 602-561-9977.

Give me a call anytime.

Bill

Ominous,

Too bad for me, this isn't happening on Saturday, because I would definitely be in. If we drummed up enough business, we can get Street Flight to lower their rates too. Last time I dynoed there, I remember paying $45.00 for multiple pulls on the dyno, lunch and tuning assistance.

I could really use some assistance with WOT tuning, too.

That buys a full hour on the rollers, not just a few pulls.

They actually have the best pricing in town.

Street Flight usually has the best rates, but when Street Flight has several people show up, the whole hour increment thing seems to go out the window. I remember a couple of guys taking atleast an hour to dyno.

We will be expecting a full report from your dyno session this weekend!!!

You gonna hit us up at the track at least, and bring your slicks, hint hint That would be phat!!! I would also like to see what that 406 turns NA

Again though, all us gun slinging rednecks need to get together and head out to the desert.

Well, it looks like I am gonna hit the rollers at 9:00AM Friday.

This however is assuming the owner will be there, out of town till Thurs.

If I dont get on I am gonna be pissed. I will have a for sure answer on Thursday.

9:00AM Fri is a lock and done deal.

So far no one else will be hitting the rollers with me but ESAMS and 79_EFI_Z will be there for moral support and to play camera man so I can post vids.

Anyone else is welcome to watch as well.

Then Firebird around 8:00PM.

Ominous,

When you reschedule, please post it here. I am interested in going the same time as you, because I could really use some help with the eprom tuning. I have a custom program now, but it was created on assumptions. I know it could use some fine tuning on a dyno.

I won't be in town from 4/10 - 4/18, so if you decide to go during this time frame, then count me out. I can get out of work during the week as long as I have some notice.

Forgot to mention that I raced a confirmed 12.9 Mustang. Pulled 2-3 cars from a roll. Raced him from a stop, but he blew his ET Streets away when I jumped out in front of him on my drag radials. I love the way my car hooks.

Cool. It really sucks that it fell through today but all in all things are looking more rewarding for a group of us in the future.

That makes 3 people with hard commits to a future group dyno session. AZVOLFAN and I have been talking offline and were gonna get him up on the rollers next week.

So that means:

OMINOUS_87
AZVOLFAN
92TA385

Will all be heading to the dyno together next week

We just gotta work out a time thats good for all.

Ouch man, too bad you wasted your time.

However, I dont drive my car in the rain, and even if I did go to the dyno I would have been unable to tune my WOT fuel curve with 80% humididty in the air.

Tuning in 80% humidity is like tuning or racing in 110* temps.

I thought mods had to have a vast technical background before they got their job, LOL, JK!!!

Just couldnt pass up on the cheap shot
