I would have absolutely no clue what I was doing. I paid to have mine done. I think it was $700. But that included the posi, 3.42 gears and all labor.

I don't "know" how but anything with instructions isn't that hard to figure out. Getting axle shafts out is a piece of cake.

Make the short drive over to Texas and I'll do it for a 12 pack and a Burger

If you decide to do it yourself, make sure you have plenty of Carrier Shims to adjust the BL. Thats the most time consuming part of the whole rebuild.

yup. adjusing the backlash is deffinately the most time consuming part... you need feeler gagues, actually, a dial indicator works better, but those are EXPENSIVE... its a very time consuming process... if i had the tools, id do it for ya, but.. i dont.. lol i did 15-20 of them in school, but they have the tools, i dont

Well that's not a very good attitude when you're asking for help.

I have a mag mount dial indicator. They're pretty useful if you build your own motors, rears, etc... And I don't think it cost *that* much. The price of tools is relative to how badly you need to get the job done.

Go for it. $325 isn't too much if you have it to spend. I've seen worse.

I'm just trying to get help here. And its kind of inconsiderate when people are getting their questions answered in my post. When my original question is just overlooked.

Thanks. I believe I'm just going with the 325 install. Its at Arizona Differential Specialists.
