Alright then, let's pick a date and see who can go. I know I'm not available the weekend of June 4th as I will be in Pomona. Other than that I am good. I checked the SW calendar and the only time I see that they have Sat night drags is on "June 11th". The other Sats in June all have other stuff scheduled. I can be at Lake Pleasant for noonish and we can start at 3pm and go till 7pm and then head over for the drags which start at 8pm and run till midnight. Not sure if I will have a new set of slicks by then though...The only other dates for sat night drags would be July 2nd and 9th.

Looks like it's the 11th of June so far. Who else is gonna make it? C'mon guys....called my brother today in Mesa and I think he will be there with his houseboat. All I gotta do is remind him in advance. Anyway, has anyone been to LP before? I don't know if we have to reserve a spot or not. Anyone got any info on them at all? We need a spot to BBQ for sure.

Here's a few links to the Lake itself. We need to know what area of the Lake we will have our BBQ at. I can take care of the fee for the cookout. There is a small fee to get in per car.

Looks like we can go to either the desert tortoise campground or the cottonwood day use area. Not sure which is better. Chime in here guys....I need to call asap to reserve it.

Welcome to the boards 92birdconv...yes we are going.
I called today to reserve a spot and all I got was a recording to leave a message. Hopefully will hear from someone tomorrow. Bad news is that the recording said 30 day advance notice on reservations. We'll see...

Just got a phone call from LP. I can reserve a place called Ramada "B." It holds 32 people. It's a big canopy with several tables. Unfortunately they won't allow a BBQ (don't allow it during summer months)so it will have to be a picnic type deal. I can still make up the finger foods etc. That's not a problem. None of the reserve areas are near the water. We will be on a hill and able to see the water though.
If this is ok with you guys I will send the check for the 40 dollar fee. I reserved the space for 1pm to 7pm. Also, there is a 5 dollar fee per car to get in so keep that in mind.We can still start at 3pm, I just wanted to be there a little early to set up. They told me I could drive over and check the spot out to see if there is something else we might want. I may do that. In the meantime, what do you think? I gotta send the check in, so chime in guys.
Don't forget the fee for the race track as well. I am bringing a set of new slicks. Your welcome to use them but only those with posi rears will be allowed to do so. We will need plenty of drink. Let's put up a list of foods to bring along with drinks.
List:
I will bring finger foods such as tuna, egg salad and some cold cuts with rolls and condiments. Also soda in cans as well. I like Pepsi, so if you want something else chime in please.

Pencil me in as well. As long as you dont mind a non third gen being driven to the bash. I'll have to drive my monte or S-10. I can see if Robert Frank wants to tag along also. If my work schedule stays the same I can make it.
