Anyone here own the '87-90 IROC converitible I paced tonight?

Just wanted to know if you're on here or if you guys know who I'm talking about. Anyway we both got on FLR/Bell going south on the 202 (same place where my Porsche race took place) and there was this red '87-90 Iroc convertible with black top and I believe had chrome wheels and tips? And black out tail lights for sure. He was pretty far ahead of me. Anyway he gunned it at the same time I did and we stayed dead even, at least from what I could tell. And we both got on the freeway and I just kept going hoping to get him to bite, but he stayed behind.

Anway if you guys know who he is, or if your on here, just wanted to say Nice car and wondering what it's got under the hood.

Were those all ASC conversions with the L98 only? Anyone know?

i do believe some of the ASC conversions were L98, but they made verts after 87 w/o L98's... u could get 305TPI in the Z and 305TBI in the RS if im not mistaken...

I was just curious what he had in it. But this was an IROC for shizzle.

You'd be correct. Verts did not come with the 350.

well, the earlier ASC conversions "could" have had an L98, but the VIN says its a coupe, not a vert... and all verts that came stock would say the VIN for a 305 motor, not the 350 one...
