If you still have factory style exhaust manifolds, then I would install both the upper ones. I think they are important.

ok cool thanks...i only have 2 of those...I'm gona hit the junk yard on my day off 2 c if find the other 2...but I'm gona b running headers...where can i find the adapters or how would i make them fit?...

Update on the conversion:
Had to go back the stock air cleaner which is a single snorkle and identical to the TBI one. I did keep the larger air filter and chrome lid though. Didn't have time to really mess with the AIR pipe to the divertor since I have to smog my car this month.
Power steering lines got a bit modified and now fit perfectly and looks clean. Just waiting for the order of Red Line power steering fluid so that I can flush and fill the system.
I ordered new rubber fuel injection lines from the steel lines to the mechanical pump and some extra for the section of hard fuel line from the pump to the carb. I had to cut a section off since i couldn't bend at the time the new curves so it can work with the serpentine system. I cut about 12" of metal line so the fuel injection hose should take it no problem in the mean time.
I let everyone know how it all turns out if I get my car started this weekend and all goes well.

The makers of most header systems also make the brackets. Try hooker headers or hedman.

After replacing a dead two year old Die Hard battery, my car started up on the second turn of the key. No issues with the serpentine conversion at all. No leaks anywhere. Just waiting for the two lower braces to come in and install a new fuel pump to carb all steel line to replace the hack job I did.

ok that's good...i went 2 the junk yard last week and found all the braces...i wasn't able 2 put the brace for the ac pump bcuz i don't have the stud that comes out from the back of it...
do u know where i can find one?...

Cool. Looking forward to seeing them. I had to temorarily put away the dual snorkel intake and go back to the stock single. But, I did retain the larger Monte Carlo air cleaner and filter. As you can see in the pics, I have the TPI air cleaner base and thinking about using that with the top as a Ram Air type unit by using turbo charging silicone hoses to the air cleaner round section. I'm sure others have tried this. Have to fabricate some sort of air dam concentrating the air coming in from the three holes on the nose of the car to the base of the cleaner.

Finally got my A.I.R. pump and power steering braces. The power steering one went in without a problem. The A.I.R. pump was another story. The header bolt had no issues but the mechanical fuel pump is in the way to put in the bolt for the A.I.R. pump section.
I hope that the solution I am thinking about will work. Which is to remove the A.I.R. pump, install the bolt to the brace and tighten it up just a bit, install the pump back onto the bracket, and then tighten up the header bolt and the pump bolt. Will keep you posted on how it goes.

Serious about the mechanical fuel pump in the way? Yes on that part. But at least I was able to pass the smog test today by two stinking points on the Hydrocarbon section. Two more points and I would have failed. You know, the tech was being a jerk. He was upset that I passed. He kept looking around under the hood with his flashlight trying to find something wrong with my car so he could fail me is what I took it as. But hey, everything on the car is hooked up legally and I won for now.

A thing I noticed at a recent Camaro meet at Bob's Big Boy, the majority, if not all the serpentine equiped vehicles did not have the additional two support brackets for the power steering pump and the A.I.R. pump. Oh well on my part.
