Hello everyone. Just thought that I would post up about my new to me car. I got to Tucson in May 05 for the AF and have since then been looking for a good deal on a third gen Firebird. Well I found it up in Phoenix. I picked up an 87 Firebird Formula. It was in a tow yard as a stolen recovery. Was a little leary about buying something like that, but it had a clear title. As far as I can tell, they just went joyriding and broke stuff. The only thing missing was the shifter ****. The radio (not original) was still in the car!! They took a screw driver to the ignition and FUBARed that up. No keys, but I replaced the ignition, threw in a splash of gas, and it fired right up. Now for the good stuff. The car has T-Tops, decent exterior, little worn interior, an Edelbrock performer carb and intake, MSD 6A ignition, MSD distributor, Accel 8.8 MM wires, 5 speed tranny, and judging from the engine color, has been rebuilt at some point. The block, vavle covers, waterpump, etc. are all painted hugger orange. I can't complain for the work it needs, I only paid 500 bucks. What do you guys think? Thanks, MAC
