Is there a difference between GM Shop Manual & Factory Service Manual?

Tried to post this in the FAQ section, but couldn't. Mod's would you PM as to the reason, please?

Re: Difference between GM Shop & Service Manuals
The GM shop manuals for my ThirdGens are big, thick books published by Helm.

The GM service manuals and pamphlets that I've seen are updates for specific areas and are normally issued for 3-ring binders.

I need to get my hands on an illustrated parts guide. The only ones I see on CD are for the 1982-1991, and I want the whole shebang.

The CD parts guide I have doesn't include the 1992 model year, but other than some badging, I never noticed much difference between the '91 Camaro I used to have and the '92 Z28 still in my garage.
