Hahaha I've been drooling over that one for some time. That's the one I was telling you about yesterday.
So anyways people, I have decided that I'm throwing in the towel. This car is just too much work. I'm just going to part this one out or sell it to the junkyard. Cut my losses before I get too much more into it. I'll just wait, and get one later that's not so... ****ed.
So yeah, there's that.

Dude don't give up on the car I was literally in the same boat, mine just wasn't a vert.....previous owners had seriously f***ed the whole wiring of the car I am talking like made their own fuse box and had switches for just about every electrical thing ever installed on the car....for example a switch to manually turn the tail lights on and off hahahahaha. But after beer, liquor, several tools thrown into the street I got it all rewired and now I am on to the motor of the car......no one says everything has to be done quickly hell leave the interior stripped just put the driver seat in say to yourself I love this car!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: New in town....
OK. Who wants it. Make me an offer. I was going to keep plugging away at it, but then I got a tow ticket today. So whoever wants it, it needs to be moved asap. Few things;
It runs, but it has a vacuum leak. And the seats aren't bolted in, so yeah, that would make an interesting ride...
There's a problem with the title. The genius I bought it from screwed up when he signed the title. He filled out an official statement of correction, but he filled it out in pencil, so the MVD didn't want to take it. Everything is signed, and notarized, but it still might be a little bit of work getting the title transferred.
I don't really care what I get for it, really. I paid 2,300 for it, and I've put some new parts in it. I know I'm not going to get ANYWHERE close to that, and idc.
One thing to consider when making an offer; It has literally brand new brakes. Rotors, calipers, pads, shoes, and I think something else. Brakes fixed, drove one day, been parked ever since. Somebody please take this, I'd hate to see it get towed.

Re: New in town....
Cause apparently the tow truck driver was really bored, so he actually walked up to the car and noticed it was sans interior.
I slapped the dash back in, so that'll buy me some time.

Re: New in town....
Man, I appreciate the offer, really I do, thats awesome. The thing is, I don't have any money to put into it, and I would feel, awkward. It would sit there for a long *** time, you'd get sick of seeing it, end up resenting me... Next thing you know there's thumbtacks in my seat and super glue on my screwdrivers...
Lol anyways I need money, not another moneypit right now. Don't get me wrong guys, this isn't some snap decision, I really do love this car, but honestly, this really is too much for me to handle at this moment in my life. This was kind of a final straw. One day when I have a house, instead of a shithole apartment, with a garage and some liquid equity.

Re: New in town....
Anyways I didn't mean that as harshly as it sounded, I only meant since I don't own a thirdgen.
Anyways.. It sucks, but it's really not all *that* bad...
For one, the car still wasn't transferred to my name. This means a few things. 1, the towing company won't be coming after me to collect any fees. And if, *IF* they actually find the registered owner (I haven't been able to get ahold of him in a long time) I guarantee he's not going to pay. And he doesn't know who I am, so he can't send the company to me. Even the apartment office doesn't know it's my car, so they won't be any help either.
2, and this is even better. The PO hasn't paid child support in at lest 6 months. The state is attaching a lien to the car. And it's going to be way more than the car is worth. So really, the tow truck company can't do anything with it.
Basically, everyone who ever comes into contact with this car gets totally boned, and the cycle continues.
Quite frankly the thing needed work that was beyond my means right now, and Wed. it refused to start. I will wait, and I will own another one, one day.
A nicer one lol.

yeah man, and at least phx isnt lacking people selling 3rd gens. i made a few offers on a few camaros before i got my TA for around a grand, and they all took them. its not like youll be stuck getting a crappy ones. a few of the ones i looked at were in fairly good shape, and drknow can vouch that after 2 months of having mine, i got me a good shape one. you have time to find a pretty good one out here for sure. and if you need my help, i am literally jewish and can talk them down hardcore.

Re: New in town....
Earth, welcome.
I didn't offload it, it was offloaded from me. Or something.
It was kind of like finally buying a dog you always wanted then finding out it has rabies. Sure, you ant it, and you'll miss it when it's gone, but deep down you know it was only a matter of time before it bit you right in the @ss.
The only real money I'm out is the money for the purchase, the new brakes, $10 for the AC/heater control, and $25 for the heater core. I learned a hell of a lot, and it was an expensive lesson but an expensive lesson is the one best learned.
